Thanks! The old game was based on OGL/3.5/D20 Modern, and that's too crunchy for what I want. I think Star Adventurer will be much more fun.

Now I just need to figure out how much "conversion" of ships/weapons I need to do.

Progress on actually running this has been foiled by lockdowns and such, but I continue to hope I'll be able to run this soon; I may try an online play-by-post game if this keeps up much longer. Babylon 5 is such a rich setting, and while not Star Wars, I think the rules support it well. Even reading the rules, when I read the races, I was like, "OK, so that could be a Narn... that could be a Centauri... that's DEFINITELY a Drazi..."

I figure the Minbari could be different races (mechanically in the game) based on their caste, too.

Yes, it's understandable. Even here in non-lockdown Uruguay it's hard to get NEW players to join an existing group.

Following up on this topic, did you ever get that worked out for the conversion to Babylon 5 and if so, how did it go?

Just picked up these rules; I really love the balance between short and sweet. I like how enough detail in the booklet is provided to allow a GM to run it right away with a skeleton to build off of as desired.

Quick Question:

Page 14: Psychics work like skills, but they also add in their character level on a skill roll to use a power.

Based on that, is the character level supposed to be added in on a non-psychic skill check as well, or is this addition of the character level simply a boost for psychic characters?

This is only for psychic characters, for psychic skills.
