This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Just purchased - this is actually my first Pundit purchase, I think. On a quick look through, for my 3 pounds sterling it is a bit vague/generic, I'd have preferred specific detailed locations with some named NPCs with stats & personalities, some specific location maps, places with individual flavour and their own plot hooks. It seems more a location generator than a set of specific locations.

Hmm, well, the point was to create guidelines for generic set-pieces as GM tools, with the random tables adding more specific details. But I was trying to balance between stuff that would work generally and repeatedly, without putting things too specific that they would make it less useful as an ongoing tool.

I'm sorry if my description above gave the wrong impression. I try to make all the Pundit Files books be as useful as possible in what they're meant to do, and of course there are some issues of the Pundit Files that are very specific, to particular settings, adventures for settings, or to certain cultural folklore.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I may find it useful, but it's less inspirational than I was hoping. I was hoping for basically set-piece modules I could drop into a campaign setting.

Well, I might try to do something more along those lines in the future.
