This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So, I'm gonna be playing in a Dune RPG pretty soon...

Sting was really good as a homicidal maniac.

Quote from: David RAfter I saw Lynch's Dune, some (okay, a lot of em') my npc assasins resembled Sting

Balz: Don't get me wrong, I like the Sci-fi miniseries quite a bit, terrible acting and costumes aside.  I particularly enjoy the visual style of Lynch's vision much more, and as entertainment, rather than novel emulation, the movie is more fun by a long shot.

In other words, they both have room in library, just for wildly different reasons.
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

Still, here's a way to think about the costumes from the miniseries -- it's like they're saying,

"I run the fucking universe.  You wanna laugh at my threads?  Heh!  Go ahead."

It's like they're all so far in the future, and so powerful, they don't even care.
