This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Been feeling post-apocalyptic lately, so:

Atomic Highway
Barbarians of the Afterfmath

It was going to be either-or, but after a sell me thread on rpgnet I've decided I want both.

I'm a little short on space games, and I am liking the OSR games I have, plus grubman is a cool cat, so:

X-Plorers

And while I like Precis Intermedia's Treasure Awaits, I think the new Pocket Edition will be more to my liking than the box set, so once again I am going to be buying the same game twice.

Quote from: Benoist;383539Flashing Blades. Just have one RPG for the Wars of Religion, Te Deum Pour Un Massacre, and the historical take turns me off. I want more swashbuckling in a game, less historical political correctness, and Flashing Blades seems awesome for this. Plus, I'll be able crash The Shaman's place to play me some FB when I travel to the US. Some day. :D
What do you mean when you say more swashbuckling, less historical political correctness? Errol Fynn-esque swashbuckling? If so, I don't know if you would like Flashing Blades, it's more history than Errol Flynn, which for me is a plus, but for you maybe not.

That said, Flashing Blades is a decent game (although the system is somewhat wonky for my taste), and if you like the history of your country during the 17th century you're going to love it. I prefer the Capitán Alatriste RPG, but that's my taste. ;)
Grając zaś w grę komputerową, być może zdarzyło się wam zapragnąć zejść z wyznaczonej przez autorów ścieżki i, miast zabić smoka i ożenić się z księżniczką, zabić księżniczkę i ożenić się ze smokiem.

Nihil sine magno labore vita dedit mortalibus.

And by your sword shall you live and serve thy brother, and it shall come to pass when you have dominion, you will break Jacob's yoke from your neck.

Dios, que buen vasallo, si tuviese buen señor!

Yeah... no. LOL I fully expect to love the game, though I ALSO happen to be a great fan of Errol Flynn (The Adventures of Robin Hood is my favorite movie ever).

It's just that Te Deum Pour Un Massacre, the French role-playing game taking place during the Wars of Religion in France, before and after the massacre of the St. Bartholomew, is a very down-to-Earth, very well-done, hardcore historical game. That is not my cup of tea. Historical consistency to me should only be as important as it makes people have a good time in the game. It's not a lesson of History, in other words. Now of course, if you're into hardcore historical role-playing, that's one heck of a game, for sure.
