This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A thread entitled "4vengers are a well of delicious tears of unplumbed depths" has fuck-all to do with gaming.

I have no clue what you're talking about but the thread in question is about as central to gaming that you can get without either talking pure theory or mechanics.

The thread linked in the OP?

'Cause I'm seeing very little that I could ever use at my table in this one.

In the silence of daylight
The tears of sullen 4vengers
Bring warmth and gladness

But while half of what they crave be vice,
At my table they shall still roll dice,
And so I heed some of their advice
To commence once more the hack and slice.

No, it actually does because one of the hallmarks of the 4E era hasn't been the game as much as it has been the absolute douchebaggery of 4vengers. To see the game go away fills me with "meh", but to see the 4vengers weep and wail and carry on about losing their game religion is poetic justice for the bullshit that has been spewed by them.

EDIT: And Marleycat beat me to it.
"Meh."

I suppose it is talking about talking about gaming, in a sense.

It actually is. It's just about the broader issue I pointed out and unlike the Throbbing Purple we can speak about it without bans or whatever.
