This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

How About This?

No worries.  It was pretty clear what happened, although a post indicating that it wasn't going to materialize would have been appreciated.

Well, if lack of familiarity with the setting isn't a hinderance (and really, I can be a provincial, so why WOULD I know anything?), then count me in.

Quote from: One Horse TownThere's not much confirmed interest here anyhow. If Ian & Werekoala confirm their interest then i'm looking for one more player.
Hey, I rolled* up my halfling monk last night using only the SRD (though I still need to figure out how many Feats a body gets at 1st Level), so I'm in like Flynn. :)  Not that I mean to split anyone's enthusiasm between multiple committments.

(*No, really.  I rolled up a character.  Outside of Traveller, it was probably the first time in almost 10 years.  Weird.)

Abyssal Maw

If you'll consider me, I'd love to play.
Download Secret Santicore! (10MB). I painted the cover :)

Cool and the gang! 3 are in then.

I'll do the setting start tonight. Well done Ian! Just 1 feat at 1st for you halfling riff-raff! It is still possible that we'll need to start above 1st level, but we'll see tonight. If Ian finds it more comfortable to start off this brand spanking new system (for him anyway!) at 1st level, then i'll just tweak things to fit. :)  Probably better that way actually.

Hey, I'm easy either way.  Oh, and is that one Feat in addition to Unarmed Strike and Flurry of Fists (the two 1st Level monk Feats)?  I assume so, but I'm not really in a position to assume anything.

I think that, later today, I am going to start a thread singing the praises of rolling up a character completely randomly.  It was a gas failing to roll up the character that I wanted, then poring over the Race and Class options to figure out a character that worked with what I had.

Yeah, that's one feat that you qualify for in addition to any class features or bonus feats granted by class features (like Fighter bonus feats at 1, 2,4th levels for example).

I've always prefered random chargen over builds, so i agree totally!

I'll be posting a brief overview of the wilderlands setting at about 8PM GMT over on the PbP fprum, followed by more details about this specific campaign. Then we can start haggling over character details.

One thing that i will be keeping from the wilderlands is the Tech Levels of communities (i'll explain all this in the overview). So equipment may well be effected

Just to confirm, recruitment for this PbP is now closed. You can find the OOC thread in the PbP forum now. Once we get that sorted and characters filed, i'll open an in character thread and start the game properly.
