This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What RPG would you want to see?

Shit, Transmetropolitan would be fantastic on the one hand, but on the other what could you really DO with it as an RPG?

Other than give the GM a chance to do his Hunter S. Thompson impersonation?

You know what other book series that just came to mind that would be a sweet RPG. Deathlands.

I hadn't heard of that series until now. I went and looked at that Wiki for it and I think I'm sold.

I'm glad I found out about the series here and not through the TV show. It looks terrible. I hope my local branch library has some of them. They seem to have everything else.

C'mon, just reading the Wpedia description should give any designer some ideas. I would prefer it of course if Spider was missing -a mythical urban legend meme haunting the conscience of the pcs - and the PCs were reporters for the Word

This is one of it's selling points.

Ummm, don't get me started.....oh well here goes:

The setting is pretentious and complicated. It's terribly un-Lovecraft like. Not a single player "class" is appealing. The Mecha designs suck. The have a chapter titled "SKILLZ." The system is shitty (wanna-be WW-Storytelling is not good for a Mecha game), especially combat.

It was probably the biggest let-down I've ever had for an RPG. It's such an awesome premise that it should be impossible to botch. Yet there it is. You're better off combining Robotech and Beyond the Supernatural.

And yet, it's absolutely loved on RPGnet.  You also forgot that the books have a tendency to fall apart.
