This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

New D100 scifi rules/setting for Openquest/BRP:
http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/137589/River-of-Heaven

I'm not likely to use the setting as is but it sounds generic enough to pull from... wormholes, nanotech, various factions trying to steer, mystery and menace.

Nice to have new scifi toys for BRP.

Anyone else excited about this?

Apparition

Yep.  I've been waiting a long time for it.  I began reading through the PDF a few days ago (I backed the Kickstarter), but I also just purchased two of the hardcovers.  As I mentioned, I haven't finished reading it and I certainly haven't played nor GMed it, but it definitely appears to be one of the best sci-fi RPGs in a while.

Damn right!

I contributed to the Kickstarter, and have been looking forward to it coming out for some time.

I'm a KS backer for this as well. What I saw from the pdf proof looks excellent, so this is great news! I must say that I actually like the setting as is.

By the way, KS backers also recently got access to a pdf of the Reunion adventure for River of Heaven. Anyone have a closer look at that yet?

I've got it but haven't had a chance to read through it yet. I have high hopes because I ran a lot of John's Cthulhu Rising adventures back in the day and they were great.
