This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thought I'd cross-post this here, see if there's interest:

I mentioned this on my site, but Stack Exchange is a Q&A site that has a strong reputation system for users. They are trying to start a Role-Playing Games group over there. I honestly have no idea if it'll be worth a crap, but I thought I'd check it out. If anyone wants to join me, here's the referral code:

You actually have a certain amount of people sign up and commit to being an active part of the site for 3 months before it goes into an actual Beta. Basically, it's a threshold of potential interest that has to be met. I guess we'll see if they manage or not.

Basically, think Yahoo! Answers for gamers.  We'll see how it goes...

You point monger :p

On a more serious note, the Stack Exchange Q&A setup is very good and the reputation system does a good job of keeping the signal to noise ratio up. One key element is that the more reputation you have the more privileges you have on the site including moderator status. It is not easy to earn that privilege.

It's up to 80%.  Any more takers to help get this started?
