Title: rubber ball grenade in D&D 3.5
Post by: Agerthel on June 02, 2013, 04:54:10 AM
I would like opinions of: how to go about the creation, useful applications, and chaos causing fun scenarios that a non-lethal rubber ball grenade would have in a D&D 3.5 campaign. I am trying to create a crazy alchemist character with just as crazy toys.

What exactly would a "non-lethal rubber ball grenade" be?

I guess it would be a hit at the dog park?

A critical hit indeed. They're called stingballs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDZwI2-L_Cs), some use them for claymore training, my guess is a save versus paralysis or -5 on all actions for the next 1d6 rounds.

Or lots of small balls that fill an area and make the footing treacherous, a bit like a Grease spell perhaps.

Try a super bouncy ball with a Mark of Insanity on it.

Not familiar with 3.5 rules but I like the idea of such a bouncy grenade having a Polymorph Other effect, especially when combined with a random animal chart like this: http://jrients.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/and-now-random-chart.html (http://jrients.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/and-now-random-chart.html)
