It could well be. It's focused on medieval astrology, not the modern version. The main difference is that modern western astrology is largely about pseudo-psychology, whereas medieval astrology was way more about predictive elements.

This would seriously make a useful series on its own (various easy to deploy systems for different traditions of magic, divination, etc). Particularly things like astrology. I find this is stuff, even if you do research on it, it is not easy to understand 1) how it actually works on a practical, here is what the diviner does and learns, sense and 2) how to best do that in a game.

Well, this is an example of how all the magic in Lion & Dragon is done. Each different type of magic (astrology, banishing, talismans, summoning, cures, curses/battle-magic, alchemy) work in their own special ways.

Hell's blazing biscuits, this will be useful for ANY game set in even a vaguely pseudomedievalhollywoodmedieval world.

They were all OVER this sort of stuff.  The oldest nonreligious wall paintings from the medieval period in England are at Longthorpe Tower.  One of them is the Wheel of Fortune.  If your "medieval-ish" game does not include Fortune, you're missing the boat.
