This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

BWA, Its just worth noting that you put "Non-RPGer" in your user subtitle and this forum is pretty much focused on Role Playing Games and those of us who play them.

I wear my necklace of Cheetos by choice, man, not because my mom makes me.
I also have a full suit of underwear (you may think of it as lingerie if you like)  made entirely from funyons and pork rinds.

However, I no longer slather myself in butter before game sessions; I find my body hair much more manageable with olive oil. Last week i managed to shape my pubes so that in combination with my nutsack I created a sculpture of a horse's head. 5 seconds with my eyes closed thing of Mr T and I've a unicorn!

At last, a note of sanity! :D

You'll have to do better then that, if you want to pass fake vitriol.

Quote from: Bill White;416260Bunch of other stuff.

Yeah that New Yorker story was really genuine.  Thank god Ron and Vince came along to save everyone from being brain damaged by playing games with DMs like that.  Jesus Christ, get a life.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

I put that there as a joke, as many of the games I like are (nonsensically, arbitrarily) considered "not RPGs" by some posters here. Even though they all are.

I'm not steamed or anything. This site is all about the yelling and arguing and cursing. That's the scene here. I totally dig.

I'm just saying, if you think what someone writes is 100% horseshit, then say "Dude, that's 100% horseshit, and here is why ..." But don't just say "That guy likes Forge games!" and put your fingers in your ears. Make a point.

That said, I realize this is an old argument, so I'm happy to drop it. I was actually trying to point to areas of AGREEMENT between dogmatic facist grognards and poncey hippie swine, but the lure of the dark side is strong.

You didn't read it closely enough! The Dungeon Master was the *good* DM in the story. He was fucked up, sure, but he was *good*--as far as the player-narrator was concerned.

Of course, the Dungeon Master committing suicide is unrealistic; it turns out that gamers are actually less prone to suicide than the general population. But the idea that we learn how to play, and that's how we want to play from then on has a kernel of truth to it.

But anyway: you get a life, motherfucker. You're as stupid as you are ugly.

Bill was in the storygames thread that prompted Teataine's one post troll here, so it's just another one come to spread the word.

I'd call that a good-faith effort to observe local customs and folkways.

I've been playing D&D since 1981, so I have as much right to be here as you, motherfucker. I was impressed at how you guys talked Levi into giving the place a second chance, and I started posting when I saw the guy who's been reading Dragon Magazine talk about an article I wrote back in 1994. So get off my fucking back. I like it here. I'm staying. Argue with me, insult me, or ignore me, but I have a right to say what I think.
