SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

RPGPundit Declares Victory: TheRPGsite will thus obviously remain open

Congrats, Pundit! I tried the Forge years ago, and left because Ron was such a douche. If you didn't agree with everything he said, he'd treat you like shit on the forums. I'm actually surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Now, if only RPGNet would finally implode...

(God, guys. Please stop linking to that site. I can't believe I put up with those mods for so long. Just reading their posts  pisses me off.)

Quote from: RPGPundit;413555You've been fucking warned about this over and over again. Free Speech does NOT extend to harassing other members of this site in this way. You're THIS fucking close to being the next poster boy for all the pundit-haters to make absurd comparisons to rpg.net about.

The other mods are on notice about this as of now. One more insulting reference to Koltar, and you get banned, no debate about it.

Channeling ICP?
"In a way, the Lands of Dream are far more brutal than the worlds of most mainstream games. All of the games set there have a bittersweetness that I find much harder to take than the ridiculous adolescent posturing of so-called \'grittily realistic\' games. So maybe one reason I like them as a setting is because they are far more like the real world: colourful, crazy, full of strange creatures and people, eternal and yet changing, deeply beautiful and sometimes profoundly bitter."

Quote from: One Horse Town;413787That describes 99% of forum participants.

I don't see the problem, personally. Seanchai got pissy a while ago and drew a comparison that pundit didn't like - pundit tried to show him what it'd be like if that comparison was true - Seanchai cried 'victory' (which is all the rage these days) and the rest of us thought, "what a couple of dicks."

True enough, and I suppose I must even plead guilty myself on occasion. I suppose I like poking the troll with a stick. I'll try to control myself.

Brother, if that's how he defined harassing another member there'd be about 3 people left on the theRPGsite. I know I wouldn't be one of them.

OK, a bit of history there too. ICP stands for Insane Clown Posse. And they were a Detroit-based White Rap group who had a theme where they dressed up as demon clowns and ranted about stabbing people. They cultivated a fanbase that was really annoying because they reveled in being confrontational and juvenile at the same time. Their fans were called "Jugalos" and pretty much aspired to be the Jokerz from Batman Beyond.

ICP got religion and now they are an inspirational Christian Rock group. The Jugalos are currently divided as to whether they should likewise embrace Jesus or abandon them for having Gone Soft.

They have spawned the meme "Fucking magnets, how do they work?" because they are now seriously peddling that line as evidence for existence of the Christian god. It's probably the stupidest construction of the Cosmological Argument for God that has ever been formulated.

I wrote a game called After Sundown. You can Bittorrent it for free, or Buy it for a dollar. Either way.

good point...and on further reflection I  see a difference between some of Pundys comments towards me and others, which are in direct reply to a post by said parties, and Cy's towards Koltar, mentioning him in the thread as an example.
Has Pundy ever harassed anyone like that?

When someone says something about me dear old mum,well...it just rubs me wrong. If she were here to reply (she had a few choice sayings of her own) that would be one thing, but alas, she has been planted all these years...
  thanks for the check
