Some of the stuff on my wish list lately:
- Flashing Blades. Just have one RPG for the Wars of Religion, Te Deum Pour Un Massacre, and the historical take turns me off. I want more swashbuckling in a game, less historical political correctness, and Flashing Blades seems awesome for this. Plus, I'll be able crash The Shaman's place to play me some FB when I travel to the US. Some day. :D
- RuneQuest 2/3 stuff (Pavis, Big Rubble, Snake Pipe Hollow et al.). Got Griffin Mountain recently and love what I'm seeing. I want to get more of that vintage RuneQuest stuff I missed when I was young back in France.
- More Vintage Judges Guild stuff. Tegel Manor, Dark Tower, you name it. I have PDFs, but I want to be able to handle the real things.
- Pendragon Charlemagne. Do I really need to explain myself on this one?!
- Dark Dungeons. Rules Cyclopedia retro-clone (http://www.therpgsite.com/showthread.php?t=17364)? Sign me up.
What's on your wish list lately?
- The new BASH adventure "Vengeance is Nigh".
- I need all of the Deadlands releases since Reloaded came out, unfortunately.
- Savage Foes of Solomon Kane
Actually, that's pretty much my wishlist at the moment (but the Deadlands list is Coffin Rock, The Flood, the first Trail Guide, a couple of adventure compilations, and a GM screen).
- Dresden Files
- Legends of Anglerre
Because I'm a remorseless FATE whore.
The supplement is out now, but I want the full version. I love space battles, and Warcosm is easy and fun.
I love pulp RPGs and this one looks damned cool
I have nothing on my RPG list at the moment. No must haves anyway. But I've been buying a lot less the past few years.
Since my 1st edition Unknown Armies was stolen from me, I guess that makes me want 2nd edition Unknown Armies.
Quote from: PaladinCA;383565I have nothing on my RPG list at the moment. No must haves anyway. But I've been buying a lot less the past few years.
Same here.
A few months ago I would have said Mongoose Runequest 2 (MRQ2). But with several recent newer MRQ2 supplement books exhibiting the world famous Mongoose crappy editing (dating back to the d20 glut era), I've reconsidered.
Generally I'm waiting on being able to get print versions of:
Atomic Highway
Mutant Future
Bill Coffins' Septimus
Starcluster 3
High Valor
Runner's Companion for Shadowrun
There are probably others but for now that is all.
'Dragon Lines' for BRP... as well as a bunch of the other monograph stuff Chaosium has been putting out.
I rabidly want more of the Dark Heresy/Rogue trader stuff.
A lot of the stuff I'm lusting after isn't out yet... 'Interplanetary' for BRP, the 'Stone Horizons' game... and the stuff that Halfjack has been talking about on his blog (despite my not liking fate all that much).
Diaspora.
Mongoose Traveller.
Starseige: Event Horizon.
I'm mostly after Earthdawn stuff, namely Blood Wood, Secret Societies of Barsaive and a few others from the older editions. Aside from those I'm looking for some board games (Tannhauser, Small World, Talisman 4th) but the actual RPG list is pretty short.
Outside of the actual game stuff, I'm probably going to buy myself The Non-Designer's Design and Type Books, Deluxe Edition soon to help get a better grasp of crap I've been working on for some games (my own stuff, nothing major). Does that count?
I'm mostly looking for board games, but my RPG wish list is:
Barbarians of the Aftermath - print edition
Legends of Steel: Barbarians of Lemuria edition - print edition
DOGS of War - print edition
Mongoose Judge Dredd + supplements
Quote from: Benoist;383539What's on your wish list lately?
I bought quite a bit of the old stuff earlier this year. A
Flashing Blades boxed set, for instance, and some of the JG stuff. I'm still collecting some of the latter as well.
But as for new stuff, I will buy 4th-edition
D&D Essentials or
Compendium or whatever it's called when it comes out.
It's not exactly on my wishlist, but to say the truth, I can't think of anything upcoming that I'm really interested in*, so 4e it is. I'm actually looking forward to giving it a read.
* Stafford's Charlemagne game, if it happens, and who knows when?
A bit behind the times here, still want to get actual hardcopies of Pathfinder core book and bestiary. Sorta interested in Dresden Files but I know I'll have to wait.
There isn't much RPG wise I really want. A few things I would like, but nothing I seriously must have.
But here goes:
Warhammer 40K Deathwatch
Warhammer 40K Ascension
Doctor Who RPG
Legend of the Five Rings 1st edition plus the few Way of Books I don't have.
Those are the only things I really want, but I am on the odd lookout for:
Call of Cthulhu/BRP stuff.
TSR Era D&D/AD&D stuff.
The few Aeon/Trinity books I need to complete the line.
I barely get to play or run RPGs right now so its honestly a waste to keep buying crap I don't need or get to use.
PDF:
- Tehran: Nest of Spies and Serpent Scales #1: The New Konfederacy for The Day After Ragnarok. This is my most immediate concern, since I intend to run a long-term tDAR soon enough. Tehran in particular sounds like a great springboard for the "Servants of the Crown", James Bond vs. Thulsa Doom game I want to run.
Print:
- Ninjas & Superspies. Fucked if I know what happened to my yellowing old copy. I just have to have this game around.
- Qin. I'll look for it when I'm in France. I'm still undecided on whether to pick up Les Royaumes Combatants, or Shaolin et Wudang.
- Mongoose Runequest 2. I've been meaning to try Runequest forever (virtually unheard of around these parts), and now's as good a time as any. Since my tastes for fantasy run towards the epic, I'm waiting to see how the new Runequest Empires book turns out. The Elric and Hawkmoon books are also of interest.
- Legends of Anglerre. Looks nifty, but I'd like to build a bit more experience with FATE before comitting to a purchase, so until I get a SBA game running, it's a no-no.
- A supers game. It's probably going to be ICONS, or BASH UE. Both are rules-light(ish) and support random character generation.

Oh Good Lord. I forgot about this guy too. Of course! It's on my wish list too!

I haven't read the Combat and Magic(s) chapters yet, so there's still a big caveat, but what I've read so far (character gen, skills, basic game system procedures) I really like. I'm confident you're going to like it too.

Not sure when there will be a print copy of Septimus but you can get the .pdf free now:

Machine Zeitgeist by David Hill.
Adventure's Handbook by Super Genius Games
I sill want to pick up a copy of Uhg!
I'd like to get ANY new product for exlipse phase as it would mean the game was still alive and handn't been killed by what happened at catalyst.
I mean, cthulhutech can go to hell, but I hope Eclipse phase survives and prospers.

There is already a POD softcover (http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/bill-coffins-septimus/5319739?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/2).
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Advanced HackMaster. Not sure when it's supposed to be released, but I'm interested in checking it out when it pops up.

There was still a print version up at Lulu.

SCOOPED! (http://www.therpgsite.com/showpost.php?p=383692&postcount=21) ;)
I'm kinda down on buying new stuff lately, but Warriors of the Red Planet and the Planet Algol book look like they'll be cool.
Mongoose RuneQuest 2 was in my wish list, but not anymore! I got it for my birthday :). I haven't read it thoroughly yet, but I'm liking what I see, I might even end up liking it more than RuneQuest 3, which is my first love.
Other than that, maybe the Song of Ice and Fire Campaign Guide, or Aquelarre 3rd edition, when they're finally released.
Quote from: jrients;383894I'm kinda down on buying new stuff lately, but Warriors of the Red Planet and the Planet Algol book look like they'll be cool.
What are they?
In answer to the main question, nothing much for me, I'm on a selling rather than buying kick presently. I'll likely even be selling some books I like on the basis I have them in pdf and generally that works fine for me (I have access to free printing, so I print as needed and dump after the game - next time we play I can print again).
Fly From Evil I'd buy in a heartbeat, but it won't be out anytime soon. I'd love a rules light Flash Gordony game, but there's none on the horizon (I have Slipstream, but I'd like something more streamlined, that OD&D supplement isn't bad at all but it's not quite on point).
Quote from: D-503;383931What are they?
Warriors of the Red Planet is basically an OD&D type hack of Barsoom, Planet Algol is one dude's completely gonzo campaign world and his blog friggin' rocks (http://planetalgol.blogspot.com/).

It does look good, though I have a hard time persuading myself that it's OK to have yet another RPG (let alone a fantasy one) sitting on the shelf. :o
Given that we've had some discussion on my system preferences (http://www.therpgsite.com/showthread.php?p=381675&highlight=feats#post381675), I trust your opinion, and I hope we'll get to hear your feedback on the Combat and Magic chapters. Maybe a full-fledged review? :D

I found Warriors through the power of Google. Looks cool.
I clicked on the Planet Algol link. First thing up is a location called the Jagged Gut Slicer Gin House. I am so into that already.
Plus, albino bird men! Man, sometimes I just plain love this hobby.
Edit: You seen that SF supplement for OD&D one blogger did? Very nicely done.
SLA Industries is free as well.

Been feeling post-apocalyptic lately, so:
Atomic Highway
Barbarians of the Afterfmath
It was going to be either-or, but after a sell me thread on rpgnet I've decided I want both.
I'm a little short on space games, and I am liking the OSR games I have, plus grubman is a cool cat, so:
X-Plorers
And while I like Precis Intermedia's Treasure Awaits, I think the new Pocket Edition will be more to my liking than the box set, so once again I am going to be buying the same game twice.

What do you mean when you say more swashbuckling, less historical political correctness? Errol Fynn-esque swashbuckling? If so, I don't know if you would like Flashing Blades, it's more history than Errol Flynn, which for me is a plus, but for you maybe not.
That said, Flashing Blades is a decent game (although the system is somewhat wonky for my taste), and if you like the history of your country during the 17th century you're going to love it. I prefer the Capitán Alatriste RPG, but that's my taste. ;)

Yeah... no. LOL I fully expect to love the game, though I ALSO happen to be a great fan of Errol Flynn (
The Adventures of Robin Hood is my favorite movie ever).
It's just that
Te Deum Pour Un Massacre, the French role-playing game taking place during the Wars of Religion in France, before and after the massacre of the St. Bartholomew, is a very down-to-Earth, very well-done, hardcore historical game. That is not my cup of tea. Historical consistency to me should only be as important as it makes people have a good time in the game. It's not a lesson of History, in other words. Now of course, if you're into hardcore historical role-playing, that's one heck of a game, for sure.
