This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

RPG Purchase Wish Lists

Some of the stuff on my wish list lately:

  • Flashing Blades. Just have one RPG for the Wars of Religion, Te Deum Pour Un Massacre, and the historical take turns me off. I want more swashbuckling in a game, less historical political correctness, and Flashing Blades seems awesome for this. Plus, I'll be able crash The Shaman's place to play me some FB when I travel to the US. Some day. :D
  • RuneQuest 2/3 stuff (Pavis, Big Rubble, Snake Pipe Hollow et al.). Got Griffin Mountain recently and love what I'm seeing. I want to get more of that vintage RuneQuest stuff I missed when I was young back in France.
  • More Vintage Judges Guild stuff. Tegel Manor, Dark Tower, you name it. I have PDFs, but I want to be able to handle the real things.
  • Pendragon Charlemagne. Do I really need to explain myself on this one?!
  • Dark Dungeons. Rules Cyclopedia retro-clone? Sign me up.
What's on your wish list lately?

Tommy Brownell

- The new BASH adventure "Vengeance is Nigh".

- I need all of the Deadlands releases since Reloaded came out, unfortunately.

- Savage Foes of Solomon Kane

Actually, that's pretty much my wishlist at the moment (but the Deadlands list is Coffin Rock, The Flood, the first Trail Guide, a couple of adventure compilations, and a GM screen).
The Most Unread Blog on the Internet.  Ever. - My RPG, Comic and Video Game reviews and articles.

Insufficient Metal

  • Dresden Files
  • Legends of Anglerre

Because I'm a remorseless FATE whore.

  • Warcosm Assault

The supplement is out now, but I want the full version. I love space battles, and Warcosm is easy and fun.

  • Hollow Earth Expedition

I love pulp RPGs and this one looks damned cool

  • Atomic Highway

PaladinCA

I have nothing on my RPG list at the moment. No must haves anyway. But I've been buying a lot less the past few years.

shalvayez

Since my 1st edition Unknown Armies was stolen from me, I guess that makes me want 2nd edition Unknown Armies.

Same here.

A few months ago I would have said Mongoose Runequest 2 (MRQ2).  But with several recent newer MRQ2 supplement books exhibiting the world famous Mongoose crappy editing (dating back to the d20 glut era), I've reconsidered.

Silverlion

Generally I'm waiting on being able to get print versions of:

Atomic Highway
Mutant Future
Bill Coffins' Septimus
Starcluster 3
High Valor
Runner's Companion for Shadowrun

There are probably others but for now that is all.
High Valor REVISED: A fantasy Dark Age RPG. Available NOW!
Hearts & Souls 2E Coming in 2019

Simlasa

'Dragon Lines' for BRP... as well as a bunch of the other monograph stuff Chaosium has been putting out.

I rabidly want more of the Dark Heresy/Rogue trader stuff.

A lot of the stuff I'm lusting after isn't out yet... 'Interplanetary' for BRP, the 'Stone Horizons' game... and the stuff that Halfjack has been talking about on his blog (despite my not liking fate all that much).

ICFTI

Diaspora.
Mongoose Traveller.
Starseige: Event Horizon.

Kinetic

I'm mostly after Earthdawn stuff, namely Blood Wood, Secret Societies of Barsaive and a few others from the older editions.  Aside from those I'm looking for some board games (Tannhauser, Small World, Talisman 4th) but the actual RPG list is pretty short.

Outside of the actual game stuff, I'm probably going to buy myself The Non-Designer's Design and Type Books, Deluxe Edition soon to help get a better grasp of crap I've been working on for some games (my own stuff, nothing major).  Does that count?

Imaginos

I'm mostly looking for board games, but my RPG wish list is:

Barbarians of the Aftermath - print edition
Legends of Steel: Barbarians of Lemuria edition - print edition
DOGS of War - print edition
Mongoose Judge Dredd + supplements

I bought quite a bit of the old stuff earlier this year. A Flashing Blades boxed set, for instance, and some of the JG stuff. I'm still collecting some of the latter as well.

But as for new stuff, I will buy 4th-edition D&D Essentials or Compendium or whatever it's called when it comes out.

It's not exactly on my wishlist, but to say the truth, I can't think of anything upcoming that I'm really interested in*, so 4e it is. I'm actually looking forward to giving it a read.

* Stafford's Charlemagne game, if it happens, and who knows when?
Don\'t forget rule no. 2, noobs. Seriously, just don\'t post there. Those guys are nuts.

Speak your mind here without fear! They\'ll just lock the thread anyway.

A bit behind the times here, still want to get actual hardcopies of Pathfinder core book and bestiary.  Sorta interested in Dresden Files but I know I'll have to wait.

Divinity - an RPG where players become Gods and have to actually worry about pleasing their followers.

Captain Rufus

There isn't much RPG wise I really want.  A few things I would like, but nothing I seriously must have.

But here goes:

Warhammer 40K Deathwatch
Warhammer 40K Ascension
Doctor Who RPG
Legend of the Five Rings 1st edition plus the few Way of Books I don't have.

Those are the only things I really want, but I am on the odd lookout for:
Call of Cthulhu/BRP stuff.
TSR Era D&D/AD&D stuff.
The few Aeon/Trinity books I need to complete the line.

I barely get to play or run RPGs right now so its honestly a waste to keep buying crap I don't need or get to use.

The Butcher

PDF:

  • Tehran: Nest of Spies and Serpent Scales #1: The New Konfederacy for The Day After Ragnarok. This is my most immediate concern, since I intend to run a long-term tDAR soon enough. Tehran in particular sounds like a great springboard for the "Servants of the Crown", James Bond vs. Thulsa Doom game I want to run.
Print:

  • Ninjas & Superspies. Fucked if I know what happened to my yellowing old copy. I just have to have this game around.

  • Qin. I'll look for it when I'm in France. I'm still undecided on whether to pick up Les Royaumes Combatants, or Shaolin et Wudang.

  • Mongoose Runequest 2. I've been meaning to try Runequest forever (virtually unheard of around these parts), and now's as good a time as any. Since my tastes for fantasy run towards the epic, I'm waiting to see how the new Runequest Empires book turns out. The Elric and Hawkmoon books are also of interest.

  • Legends of Anglerre. Looks nifty, but I'd like to build a bit more experience with FATE before comitting to a purchase, so until I get a SBA game running, it's a no-no.

  • A supers game. It's probably going to be ICONS, or BASH UE. Both are rules-light(ish) and support random character generation.
