This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sheila is still ahead, but I think if we discounted the "I like panties" vote Eric would be the clear champion. :)

That's very surprising to me.

hey!  somebody voted for bobby!  :what:

I'm surprised Shadow Demon didn't get any votes. He was definitely second coolest to me, but that might have been partly based in the Fiend Folio version of his, which was really cool.

Quote from: CalithenaI can't believe anyone voted for Eric, let alone the majority of you. I guess this site has more Republicans than normal though.
Bwuh? I voted for Eric, and I'm pretty damn blue-state. No need for the political second-guessing. Because you know what? It's pretty safe to assume you know less about people than what they say about themselves on the internet rather than more.

I picked Eric because in order for his item to even be useful, he has to actively get involved in immediate harm to himself. He can't shoot his problems with a fire arrow, or count on burying his enemy in an earthquake, or dodge out situations with an invisibility cloak. He can't even extend a magical pole.:raise: He's got to get right up in the face of danger, and even then, he doesn't have a weapon or anything, he has to rely on his friends. For someone with a strong cowardly streak, he has to do things that take a lot of guts. So he gets my pick.

Venger.  He had minions and fortress - I'm pretty sure it had a rad "no girls" sign posted at the entrance too.  When I was 9, that was cool.  Venger gets my vote.

Drew

Another thought-- I'd quite like to see an adult-orientated sequel to the original cartoon, set in present day America and working on the assumption that the kids managed to find their way home not long after the final episode. Eric is running for congress, Presto is lecturing on quantum uncertainty principle at MIT and Bobby has spent years in a mental health institute, heavily medicated for anger issues and hallucinatory fits where he sees butchered unicorns. Matbe they all meet up once a year to talk about the big secret of their childhood.

It'd be a darkly funny satire on the loss of innocence and how calculated compromise rather than idealism often leads to success in the real world.

Then Dungeon Master appears from behind a rock :D
