As of late there has been a derth of Conspiracy of Shadows actual play reports.  I know there are people out there who own the book and I know that there are even people who have played the game.  And since that number is relatively small I am offering a bounty on Actual Play reports.  

If you play Conspiracy of Shadows a few times and post some Actual Play either on Story Games, the Forge, theRPGsite, RPG.net (or all the sites in question even), I will create a custom illustration for you drawn from the Actual Play (my choice of what I put together).  The world will get to see it, but only you and your group will receive prints, signed and numbered, for each member of your game group.  I think that is a pretty fair deal.

All you have to do is notify me with a link of the Actual Play via email (ksenkowski at bobgoat dot com) and get me an address to ship to.  It could, depending on when I hear from you, take up to a month to get you the prints, so be forewarned. You can see/read/print the entire game free here.

Never played CoS, but I have to say that is a cool, novel idea.  Kudos!

Could you give us a quick rundown of the setting and system? I am horribly rushed and don't have the time to do a proper read through (maybe after Gen Con). So,
Task resolution?
Combat?
Any inherent setting?

The quick run-down:

Setting: Medieval Eastern European Analog meets the X-Files.  Characters are a cell of individuals fighting against a GM created Conspiracy.

Resolution: Scaling conflict to task resolution (can be used to do one, the other or a mix inbetween as needed for the play style of the group)

Combat: The thing I like about it best is how momentum works:

This means that he may perform up to four actions in a row so long as they are all successful, however, the second he fails at any of his actions he loses Momentum and the next person in the Initiative Order gains Momentum.

When a Player is successful at two consecutive actions while he has Momentum, all of his following actions gain a bonus die. Each successful action after the second gives him an additional bonus die. This means that on his third action, he would gain one bonus die and on his fourth he would have two bonus dice. However, after the fourth action, the Player automatically loses Momentum and it shifts to the next person in the initiative order.

Momentum was a neat idea indeed! I stole the basic idea for boarding actions in In Harm's Way, where Leadership or Dicscipline checks have momentum for rallying your boarding party.

I may just do that.  I have no idea what my schedule is for GenCon outside an indie publishers seminar thing I am a part of and working my art booth.  I go with some friends and this is the first year where we can roll through games together.  I'll let you know and would certainly be up for gaming with you guys.
