In my new video, I talk about how a Reddit SJW on the OSR-subreddit engaged in a hoax-crime against me, then admitted it, but the mods decided to Censor me anyways. That's the modern Left for you, ladies and gents.

Fuck Reddit
Reddit likely won't be around in five years as they are losing a lot of money, so I wouldn't worry about it.
The mods must have changed their mind, because therpgpundit.blogspot.com is linked to under "SOME OF OUR FAVORITE BLOGS" on the OSR subreddit.
^^ Not in my view of the sub.
I just went in (and for the first time) and "The RPG Pundit" is the second item in the second part of the list. It stays there on reload, too.
It's a bit funny, it shows up on my laptop, but not on my phone.
Quote from: kythri;1079652^^ Not in my view of the sub.
Looks like it's there on the "new" style page and removed on the "old".
It's removed from the original "old" reddit, but the mods haven't updated "new" reddit. Probably because they, like most of the users, use the old interface that isn't completely horrible.
Any good alternatives to Reddit that isn't a SJW shithole?
This is the incident that finally caused me to unsubscribe for that subreddit. I'm thinking of deleting my entire account over there. I can't stand how bad it's getting on every sub I used to frequent. I don't understand why everybody is so easily offended these days. There is zero tolerance for anybody that has a contrary opinion. You literally get banned for hurting peoples feelings. I knew after the Zak S. drama it was only a matter of time before they used that momentum to ban other people they didn't like. This isn't the first time somebody went after Pundit, so I can only assume these repeated attempts at censoring him are being coordinated in some way by easily offended snowflakes on Discord. It doesn't even matter if somebody is actually guilty. They don't care. I remember sharing a Tim Kask video and within minutes people were attacking his character too. I asked why. Turns out he hurt somebody's feelings. I can't believe people. You don't have a right to not be offended.

I don't think it's really got much to do with being 'offended'... it's more about tribalism, in this case based around politics and maybe age. Claims about offense taken are just an excuse to point out the offender as a member of the opposing group.

Outside of various forums, no.
I don't deal with Reddit. I find it horrible to navigate.
Seems hating #Reddit is a bypartisan issue (https://twitter.com/Swordsfall1/status/1105249519472500736). However they're the only site I know where an admin can't just unilaterally delete an active subreddit just because they don't like it anymore, which is what prevented r/KotakuInAction from disappearing into the night.
Personally I think treating #Facebook, #Twitter, #Reddit, #MeWe, #Discord, #Mastodon, and #GooglePlus
as communities rather than platforms which
host communities is about the most retarded thing there is, and it's hilarious to watch the people on one complain about the other. Can you imagine what the world would be like if everyone had treated phonecalls, email, usenet, and text messaging that way?
Anyway, at the very least this incident proves that Pundit's most vocal enemies are complete hypocrites who apply different standards of conduct to their allies, can't keep different events straight in their head, and don't verify anything before making statements. So as I told the troll in question, they played themselves. Now I do think Pundit could have approached this more reasonably, but then again he was accused of celebrating the death of an innocent woman at the hands of a white nationalist, which is pretty fucking vile, and I'm not sure I could have handled it more reasonably myself.

HA!
I must also be an outlier, as I find the new layout to be far superior for everything but themes, and we saw what over-personalization did to #MySpace. And I say this as someone who did a hell of a lot of work on the r/7thSea theme.

I'm sorry but do you have a link? Because I've been there just now, the /osr/ subreddit, and it is not there. Is there more than one OSR subreddit?

The really disgusting part is that they censored my blog because it was demanded by people who LIED about me, and then acknowledged it was a lie, but that didn't matter.
They also warned ME for "using harsh language" in a thread that was ENTIRELY CREATED FOR EVERY SJW TO SHIT ON ME, and they did.

Do note, though, that your phone provider, post office, e-mail server and text message app don't / can't block your service if you belong to the "wrong" ideology. (At least, not yet.) Meanwhile, Facebook
et al. flaunt all common carrier principles, and routinely engage in ideologically motivated censorship. They are not just "platforms".

But you need to use the new interface to see it.
Is there a TL;DR on what happened? With less spiders? :D

Yep, and they've been trying to get you erased for quite some time. It's kind of sad how obsessed they are. I remember right after the Zak S. drama there was already posts calling for you to be removed. I called it a witch hunt and argued with people for a few days. The OSR is too small for this kind of thing. It's a sure fire way to make sure everybody avoids the OSR.

Someone posted a thread on /r/osr asking if Pundit was representative of the OSR since they didn't particularly care for him. Expected dogpile and shitposting ensuses, including some false info about Pundit's blog posts. Pundit drops in to defend himself, calls out some individuals for lying, mods tone-police him, lock thread and pull his blog from the sidebar (at least on the old layout; it's still there on the new one).

Thanks for the summary, TPJ. I presume the hoax crime was part of the false info, right? What was the supposed crime?
Some fuckwit accused him of a blog post cheering on the Charlottesville rally/vehicle murder, and then later half-assedly recanted with a "Oh, I must have misremembered, but you're still an asshole."
It's amusing to see, yet again, people dead-naming Pundit, considering what a horrible behavior that is.
It is totally acceptable to spread lies about bad people* because they are fascists** who are guilty by default. It is for a good cause***.

Feh. That sucks. Plus now I see there was real name use. I'm glad the guy at least half-assedly recanted.

What's your reasoning? I'm no fan of Reddit, but I understand they make over $100M annually and their site is a glorified forum so I can't see how their expenses could outdo that income.
Here's their CNBC puff piece on their new advertising plans. If they truly have high engagement, I can see a revenue increase.

Aaand the little shit deleted their post.
Quote from: RPGPundit;1079751I've been there just now, the /osr/ subreddit, and it is not there. Is there more than one OSR subreddit?
No, but the old and new reddit interface have
completely different blogrolls for some reason.

Of the services you mentioned, the only one without the right to cancel your service
for any reason is the post office, and modern telecom channels are in fact starting to block people for having the wrong ideology, which is why temporary encrypted communications are becoming more and more popular. Also keep in mind that those services were not accessible by everyone back in the day.
A more detailed response will have to wait.

You need more than that because Pundit was 'downvoted', so you can't see his responses unless you archive those posts directly.
- Redacted accusation (http://archive.is/MkZL6)
- Going deeper (http://archive.is/wDxFv)
I truly believe the accuser was simply misremembering details, and Pundit shouldn't have called them a liar. I also believe the initial poster was deliberately fishing for
anything they could possible use against Pundit, and despite finding
nothing was
still able to get him removed from the blogroll.
At this point I think the entire gaming 'community' is too full of petty vindictiveness, seething resentment, and competition over status to ever be worth participating in. Thankfully the vast majority of people who
play RPGs aren't a part of it.

Yeah, like I said, this was far from the first thread on /osr/ which someone (usually Daniel Fox) put on there explicitly to try to fling shit at me and call for me to be banned.
But this one I had to respond to because they claimed a very specific claim that they suggested proved I'm a Neo-nazi, which was based on a complete lie.
