Voting is still open if you have a BGG/RPGG account.
Congratulations to Zak. I haven't got a hold the book yet, but I look forward to it.
Oh, thanks!
These awards are a vote I think so--if they are--hey, vote!
Its the end result of a series of recommendations and eliminations. So to have made it to the finals in not one but two categories is an accomplishment.
Current RPGG rating is 7.78, which is pretty good on BGGs system.

Really? Did not know that. You get GG for moderating images and review threads. also for game trades. Or someone could spot you 20.

It's not a game.
It's the first volume of a "four-volume, decade-by-decade series from Evil Hat, [in which] author and game historian Shannon Appelcline will dig deep into the lore of our forty-year-old hobby, uncovering the forgotten facts and hidden stories behind the biggest and most influential names in roleplaying games." (Evil Hat marketing blurb.)
A 100 page sample chapter (about TSR) is available for free:
http://www.evilhat.com/home/designers-dragons/
Apparently, the decade-by-decade bit is misleading, as the chapters are named after companies, and each volume deals with the companies that were started in the volume's decade.
So its not a game or a supplement. Its a book?
Well at least thats consistent with RPGGs weird ass ideas of what an RPG is. :banghead:
Well-deserved congrats to Zak. Of course, the only real RPG award worth a damn is The RPGsite Product of Distinction Award.
