This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

At least he had the courtesy to shoot that bullet away from you himself, so that you didn't have to dodge it.

I've lost track of the number of would be players who wanted to RP with me and then for god unknown reasons flipped out. As noted in older threads. One person freaked out because I wouldnt put up with his captain contrarian gag of defending ANYTHING someone opposed. This sort of nut I dont need. Had a few freak out because their timing was horrible and Id missed their messages or replied late and that was some sort of crime against humanity to them to say "I was busy/away and didnt see your message."

Back in the day when it was RPGs or shit TV, we would move mountains to get our fix.

I'd want to sequence them and run some phylogenetic trees https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phylogenetic_tree before coming to any conclusions.

So, the greatest danger for RPGs is TV becoming better?
I think we're pretty safe;)!

Not gaming related, but my wife had a friend who she used to try to work out with. Emphasis on "try".
First off, she was very strict about my wife showing up on time, except with herself, because she frequently messed up the timing herself. But if my wife was late, woe to her.
And she couldn't just start working out, oh no, you need to plan things, every time. And then make a few phone calls and have a quick bite, until there's no time to work out at all.
She's no longer a friend.
