This is the new book for Savage Worlds, for playing Cthulhu-horror stuff.
So the question is: does this have anything that BRP CoC does not? Aside from the system change, is there anything that makes this product particularly worth getting?

It's on my "to get" list, I don't have it (but have been researching it), so take this post for what it's worth...
Everything I've read from people who have purchased it has been extremely positive. I mean, I honestly haven't seen anyone say anything bad about it at all.
Everything I've read from people who want to buy it, but haven't is a complaint about the page count vs. the price for the hardcover book. It's a tired argument (IMHO), but if it's something you care about, well, it might matter.
From what I gather it's the answer to a pulpier version of CoC. From my experience with Savage Worlds itself, I would guess this is correct. The general consensus is if you want to play traditional CoC, just stick with BRP, if you want to play pulp CoC go with Realms of Cthulhu.
Of course, if you don't like Savage Worlds and don't plan on playing CoC with that system there is probably little to make the price worth the purchase. There are some adventures, but CoC adventures in the book are a dime a dozen.

I'm sorry, man, but what
isn't on your "to get" list?

heh heh..What can I say, I like to know a little about everything (RPG).
That said, I haven't purchased a whole lot the last year or so. Savage Worlds is one of the games I still play a lot, so I pick up anything that sounds cool for that game (not everything by a long shot).
So, RoC and Solomon Kane are the only things on my "to get" list as far as RPGs are concerned.
Generally, for "Pulp Cthulhu", I'd use..: Call of Cthulhu.
Or maybe Two Fisted Tales.

Well then (again, from what I've read from similar questions, not personal experience) there is probably little there for you. The whole point of the book is Cthulhu for Savage Worlds. If that's not what you plan on doing, give it a pass and save $40. IMHO

I agree. Just boost the characters a bit to give them more 'staying power' (e.g., higher stats).
