Um...pretty much as the title says.
My random map generator (//www.apolitical.info/webgame/map) now has the option of printing a colour map. Thanks to everyone who suggested adding this.
Not too bad. The things still seem a little too random even at a low-randomness setting; maybe not random in terms of variability of terrain but random in the sense of where things end up being (even clusters of things).
Still, very neat!

OK...now I'm going to be picky.
Allow the user to select a set of images. I say this because the ones you've chosen, while interesting, wouldn't be my preference. I'd like mine to be more solid (think hexmapper).
Just a thought. Otherwise, the step to color is great and it's a great little tool. nicely done...

Did you reject the idea of shading the water hexes?
I want to agree with James and John above: if you switched the graphics out for more solid colors you'd have a winner here. At least do the water hexes.
I like it, but agree a more solid looking hex would be a more valuable tool.
Another feature that would be sweet is if you could specify the sizes of the hex's.
I'd recommend the more solid colour tiles as an option. For people intending to print on inkjet you might want the less colourful version. Just a thought anyway.
Other than that, nifty.
How does one actually use this beast, though? I tried printing to pdf, and got two page partial maps, and screen dumping is tedious as you have to scroll and dump multiple times to get the whole map.

Nice addition. One thing though, I would make the hills brown, not blue, I think. That goes for mountains too. Unless it's my browser rednering brown as blue... but somehow i don't think it's that.
Good work overall. I agree with the sizability suggestion too.

No, they're meant to be blue - like when you look at hills that are far away.

The best way right now is to choose to make it without a key, and then choose to have the paper 'landscape' - and 'shrink to fit' - that'll fit on 2 pages.
I'm going to re-do the key, and have the option of smaller hexes.
EDIT: the key's now done, so you can have the key and fit the map on two pages. I also forgot to say that you should choose 'shrink to fit'.
I'm looking at this at work and it looks fine. I'll have to wait to get home and print it out to see if any of the above mentioned bugs show up. Once I do that, I'll get nitpicky with it.
