This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ridiculous Hypothetical Time! You get ONE rpg.

Quote from: KoltarThere ARE a lot of nice looking women in the souther Ohio area that game or play RPGs. I did not realize that it was a strange phenomena - till others on the internet told me it was rare to have so many women gamers in a town.  I just thought that gaming had"grown up" and more women got interested in it.
I was just remembering a post of yours from last month or so about a RIFTS-playing hottie at your store. I know several female gamers too, but I don't usually think of GURPS and RIFTS as being the RPGs of choice for gamer girlz.

As for the original question, I would bring WFRP2e with the Sigmar's Heirs and Tome of Corruption supplements.

GURPS Space

That should about cover it.

I'd definately take Tunnels and Trolls and Mercenaries, Spies, and Private Eyes.

But I would think about:
CORPS, Vehicle Design and Guns--or

Duel (a cool, underappreciated lite generic from Crunchy Frog) with the Mega-Duel expansion and the inestimable Victorian mechwarrior sourcebook, Wooden Suits and Iron Men--or

Castle Falkenstein, Comme Il Faut, and The Book of Sigils or Six-guns and Sorcery--or

Fudge, Fate, and Terra Incognita

Any of those and the time to run them would make me happy. I wouldn't want to run a sci-fi game out there in space. That would be like working all the time. How would one roll dice in zero-G?
Employment Counselor: So what do you like to do outside of work?
Oblivious Gamer: I like to play games: wargames, role-playing games.
EC: My cousin killed himself because of role-playing games.
OG: Jesus, what was he playing? Rifts?

Your Mom.

You know, it's totally safe to ignore this post. I only really posted it because, sometimes, I think that just replying 'Your Mom' to a random, given question is funny in an absurdist sort of way.  Or is that Dadaist, since it's kind of confrontational...?  Wait.  Were the Dadaists confrontational...?  Hmn.  I'd better go look it up.

With your Mom.

Here's my website. It's defunct, but there's gaming stuff on it. Much of it's missing. Sorry.

I've got a blog. Do you read other people's blogs? I dunno. You can say hi if you want, though, I don't mind company. It's not all gaming, though; you run the risk of running into my RL shit.

I'd print out my all the rulesbooks, supplements, and adventure/setting stuff for Microlite20... in pocketbook format. All that would still take up less space than a deck of cards, leaving me free to also pack my Dark Sun boxed set for lots of fantasy-style post-apocalyptic shits-n-giggles. Yes, I'm cheating... sue me. :D

There's hot by the world's standards, then there's hot by geeky hobby standards.

Having heard people make claims like Koltar's in the past, then actually seeing the girls, I'll assume the latter barring photographic evidence. :p

If there are other gamers around:

Savage Worlds (revised)

Does everything I want, all in a single thin volume.

If I'm stranded and alone... something with lots of fluff, because I'll probably end up reading more than playing (sounds like RL, ATM).  Exalted perhaps.

For lone castaways, there are always the various solo gamebooks. In that case, I'd go with three volumes from the Fabled Lands series.

GURPS Characters and GURPS Campaigns for me. If I could take a third book, I'd choose Hârnworld, but I guess it woud be cheating. ;)

Hm.  I if had to pick just one RPG, it would probably be EABA.  It best handles the genres I'm most likely to need it for.  If I could sneak along a couple more books, they would likely be either EABA supplements, or a Classic Unisystem core book...probably Armageddon.

If I wanted something different, I could use Spirit of the Century.  The basics are simple enough that I don't really need to take the book...
