This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Publishers, Designers, heed my call!

I am the co-author of the Trade & Commerce article.

ConanMK

I am a budding freelance writer

My work can be seen in:

True20 Roleplaying Adventures: A rules light OGL system from Green Ronin that is usable in virtually any genre. It replaces hitpoints with the M&M damage save mechanic, has a skill based magic system and incredibly flexible character creation. I was a contributing author.

True20 Bestiary: A monster book for the True20 system that has a chapter on monster creation, converts many of the SRD creatures to True20 and includes a bunch of my own original creatures stated out for True20. I was the main author of this book.

I am currently working on:

Agents of Oblivion: A true20 campaign setting from Reality Blurrs that pits black-ops superspy heroes against unknown horrors, dark cults and conspiracies in the "spy-horror" genre. I am a contributing author.

Roudi

Gallantry Productions should be shutting down in the next week or two, so you have limited time to pick up my one real product before it enters the catalogue of another publisher.  What is that product, you might ask?

Unnatural Watches.  In the spirit of classic magic item collections, this 13-page PDF brings you eleven of the oddest arcane watches for modern d20 games.  The Global Repositioning Watch can teleport you anywhere, provided you know the GPS co-ordinates.  The Game-Watch of Two Dimensioning can flatten your body until you are nearly two-dimensional.  The Spirit Inquiry Pocketwatch lets one get in touch with the dead.  And the Mysterious Watch of the End Days... no one can predict what it will do next.

I also did some Action Maneuvers, dragon templates, and spells, but whatever.  We'll see what happens with those.

I also did these, not with Gallantry:

Modern Dispatch #10: Near-Future Firearms.  One of the rare Dispatch issues to achieve Silver sales.  Taking a page from Ultramodern Firearms, I present six new firearms from the near future (five of which are based around the concept of caseless ammunition) written up in realistic style.  At least one reviewer was convinced I actually knew what I was talking about when it came to firearms.  Also included is one new piece of gun-related gear (a tazer attachment for pistols) and new forms of ammunition.

Modern Dispatch #103: The Alien Hunter. A supplement for Reality Deviants' Alien Invasion, the Alien Hunter Advanced Class is a path for alien abduction victims who'd like to give the extraterrestrial bastards some payback.  Contains the advanced class (which itself has two talent trees), provides the Abductee Implant rules from Alien Invasion, and includes two NPCs (in WotC's new stat block format) and the Psi-Blaster, a new alien weapon (contains 25% human cerebral tissue!).

NEO CLERICS: The Opus Priest. TheLe Games and I both love the quirky.  This 20-level base class is an uncommon cleric; it gets no spells and forsakes magic.  Based around the spiritual belief that the gods help those who help themselves, the Opus Priest receives little for free and works hard to earn a modicum of divine assistance.  Definitely my best-reviewed product thus far: "Writer Gallant has done an excellent job in creating a cleric-like class that stands on its own merits and is also rich in role-playing opportunities."

Unorthodox Modern Goths should be out soon; I submitted the final draft to TheLe last week.  A spiritual sequel to Unorthodox Modern Cheerleaders but way, way better... it presents the Goth Hero basic class for Modern plus new feats and magic items with my usual quirkiness.

I'm also a contributing author on the upcoming True20 Companion, assisting David Jarvis with the chapter on Modern gaming in True20.

By the way, ConanMK... True20 is one awesome system.

HinterWelt

Bill from HinterWelt Enterprises. Things I am working on right now:

Britannia: Edge of the Empire
The Battle for Hibernia goes poorly for the Empire in a struggle against the Dana, plagued by spirits and fae while surrounded by rebels. The insulae of Britannia are lands of brewing rebellion and monsters not seen elsewhere in Roman domain. The Dragons come either from the far eastern lands or from the west, from Britannia.

This is a supplement for Roma Imperious and is one of my favorites to work on.

Chevalier: Medieval Fantasy
In Chevalier you play the flower of Charlemagne's court to the beggar in his empire. Based on the Legends of Charlemagne, Chevalier weaves a world of magic rings, mysterious magicians and magical beasts. Take on the role of knights sent on quests or sorcerers with their own agendas. The Chirch has its hand in the fitre of King Charles, and to that end moves to assure that its agents root out all pagans who would harm the goals of the Almighty.

Chevalier is approaching done and I always like doing research on period pieces. It uses our Irdium Lite Systems and should be quick and easy to get up and running. It has point build tools for monsters, magic items, steeds and characters (unless you would rather roll up your character).

Tern System Planetary Guide
Tern is a system of five habitable planets which gives it incredible wealth. Dominated by the Gren Empire, it has long been a system of wealth and poverty. Miners on Tamos daily have treasures of ores and gems that are worth more than their lives.  The planet Geran is home to a terryfying array of fungi. Raiders use it as a hide out while the miners and farmers squabble over land. The gas giant of Erastos has moon populated by nearly every race drawn by the lucretive League of Free Gas Miners. A hard job, the pay is enough to set oneself up in business if you survive the raiders and thieves.

Tern is fun just because the research for Geran has taught me a lot about fungal arrays and just how huge mold life can get.

I also have Shaolin Squirrels: Nuts of Fury and Squirrels Ahoy: Squirrels of the Spanish Main which fall into just plan fun to write.

Good thread,

Quote from: RPGObjects_chuckChuck here from RPGObjects (I know it's hard to tell with my nick- I'm in disguise shhhh).

I've written about 80 RPG books, all (so far) for d20, things folks might know me for would be:

Blood and Space d20 science fiction rules and the Prometheus Rising setting for d20 Future

Blood and Fists d20 martial arts rules with real martial arts styles and maneuvers

Blood and Guts d20 military rules with real military units and backgrounds for modern special forces, as well as current military vehicles

Legends of Excalibur d20 rendition of the Arthurian legends with rules for fate and destiny, low magic, social class instead of race, nobility instead of alignment

Legends of the Samurai Kurosawa-type oriental adventures set in feudal Japan, same mechanical base as Legends of Excalibur, new classes, martial arts rules and a full history of Japan.

Currently working on:

Darwin's World: Fertile Crescent my campaign setting centered around the Great Lakes region of the Darwin's World setting.

Blood and Guts 2: Deep Blue Sea (working title) The ships book for Blood and Guts with the latest modern sea fighting vehicles.

Thanks for the opportunity to tell folks about my stuff.

Chuck

I've heard good, good things about RPGObjects, but haven't had the pleasure of giving them a good read, yet. You've piqued my interest, for sure.

Would you be interested in doing a conversion for Roma Imperious to True 20? I am getting emails from fans asking for it.

You know, I was relatively critical of Roma Imperious, as I'm sure you recall.
But it would certainly be a good fit with True20 (at least if my own True20 Roman campaign is any benchmark) and would be a hell of a lot better as a True20 setting than most of the lacklustre settings that have come out for that system so far.

I appreciate the kudos! It means a lot coming from someone with an eye as critical as yours. I try to keep my writing crunchy and utilitarian.
