This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Publishers, Designers, heed my call!

I know we've got a lot of talented people around here who actually do the work of putting together games for the rest of us to play.  I'd like to hear about one or more of your products.  Consider this thread an open invitation to pimp your wares, but please be short and pithy!

I am both a publisher and a designer. My publishing house is Flying Mice Games, part of the Better Mousetrap Games consortium. I publish:

StarCluster 2: A far future, high technology, hard space opera. Set in a cluster of 117 stars 300 light years from earth, to which refugees from the destroyed Earth came in sub-light colony ships and settled many different worlds.

Sweet Chariot: A planet in the StarCluster, Chariot is a dense, hot planet with an argon/oxygen/nitorgen atmosphere at high pressures, toxic at low altitudes, but breathable in the mountains. The tech level is steam, and airships ply the trade routes from mountain to mountain above the deadly lowlands.

The Book of Jalan: A planet in the StarCluster, Jalan is an earthlike planet where the humanoid natives - descended from Homo Habilis families snatched from Earth a million years ago - have evolved a type of magic based on powerful psionics. The Tech is Restoration.

Blood Games: A modern occult horror game, about hunting monsters to protect the people from predation. There is no worldwide conspiracy, the PCs are alone and have to depend on their own resources. Magic is weak, chancy, and fickle, and religion is very important.

Cold Space: An alternate history SF game, it branches from our world when a workable antigravity/FTL drive is invented in 1949. The Cold War in space. The Oikumene - the 20 LY sphere around Sol - is settled by a variety of cultures, and espionage, proxy wars, realpolitik, and outrageous bluffs are rife. It spans 1949 to 1989, and ends with the fall of the USSR.

FTL Now: The sequel to Cold Space, set from 1990 to the present. Micro colonies, cheap space flight, flying cars, and emerging Oikumene trade are shattered when terrorists hit New York with a 2.5 km diameter comet on Sept. 11, 2001. The Interplanetary War on Terror begins.

In Harm's Way:A Napoleonic Naval Roleplaying Game: Historical naval game set between 1793 and 1815, where PCs are naval officers, emulating the novels of O'Brien, Forester, Lambdin, Woodman, and others. This is the first of several planned historical military games bearing the In Harm's Way name.

All of these games use the same basic system - the StarCluster System, a totally percentile system -  tweaked for each setting. Sweet Chariot uses a StarCluster 1 version of the ruleset, and the rest use variations of the StarCluster 2 system.

I'm working on so many projects now, my head is a big swirling storm of all of them :)

I think my 3 favorite products right now are Coyote Trail, Disposable Heroes Paper Minis, and Story Engine (of course, this changes as quickly as my mood swings ;) ).

Coyote Trail - no undead or zombies or magic, just pure western action and adventure. I also can't wait to complete the Colonial Record supplement for it - you can take part in the American Revolution, French-Indian War, and War of 1812. And then there's the surprise supplement planned for it - right, Clash?

Disposable Heroes Paper Minis - customize the download with full sheets of figures for armies, label/number them to help keep track of troops, or switch between stand-ups and flat-counters. The Cyberpunk ones are my favorites. Our latest release was for ICE's HARP game. I'm also working on double-sized creatures and starships. I love tinkering with these things.

Story Engine - I'm starting the preliminary work on a 3rd Edition of this venerable narrative, scene-based universal system. It will be fully compatible with our existing core games like Coyote Trail, HardNova 2, Iron Gauntlets, and Active Exploits Diceless. I'm more enamored with my perceptions of the final work rather than the daunting task. ;)

One Horse Town

Well, i don't hold the enviable position of having released an actual game like many of the other illustrious posters to this thread. However, you can find an article of mine in the WFRP Companion and next year i will have a super secret new WFRP project and another super secret Freeport d20 project coming out. I've nearly wet myself with the excitement! :highfive:

RPGObjects_chuck

Chuck here from RPGObjects (I know it's hard to tell with my nick- I'm in disguise shhhh).

I've written about 80 RPG books, all (so far) for d20, things folks might know me for would be:

Blood and Space d20 science fiction rules and the Prometheus Rising setting for d20 Future

Blood and Fists d20 martial arts rules with real martial arts styles and maneuvers

Blood and Guts d20 military rules with real military units and backgrounds for modern special forces, as well as current military vehicles

Legends of Excalibur d20 rendition of the Arthurian legends with rules for fate and destiny, low magic, social class instead of race, nobility instead of alignment

Legends of the Samurai Kurosawa-type oriental adventures set in feudal Japan, same mechanical base as Legends of Excalibur, new classes, martial arts rules and a full history of Japan.

Currently working on:

Darwin's World: Fertile Crescent my campaign setting centered around the Great Lakes region of the Darwin's World setting.

Blood and Guts 2: Deep Blue Sea (working title) The ships book for Blood and Guts with the latest modern sea fighting vehicles.

Thanks for the opportunity to tell folks about my stuff.
