This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Published Adventures for a Dark Albion campaign

Hello,

I'm planning on running a campaign in Dark Albion with Lion & Dragon using published adventures, and would like some help finding suitable adventures to include. Do you know of any adventures that would be a good fit for Dark Albion? That means adventures that are 1) not focused on plumbing underground complexes, and 2) have a setting and premise that can fit into Dark Albion with just a few tweaks. I know there are a number released in RPGPundit Presents, but I'm looking for recommendations outside of those. So far, I know I'm going to use B2 (I've never run it) and N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God, both with tweaks to make them setting-appropriate. Thanks for your help :)

The old U1-U3 modules (Saltmarsh) would probably work if you substitute in the Frogs for the sahuagin in the original modules.  Then you just have the smugglers working for Frogland, making it a bit more politics/warfare oriented than just a 'monster' attack.  Shouldn't take much tweaking.

L1 (Bone Hill) and L2 (Assassins Knot) would also be worth looking at. L1 is a limited sandbox mainly set around an old town and castle with limited underground aspects, has haunted woods and such. L2 is virtually a murder mystery involving a lot of clue hunting and lots of red herrings. The villains are mainly human or demi-human types and undead.

Would be relatively easy to replace the too fantastical aspects for more appropriate creatures and characters.

It's a very spooky horror adventure themed around Witchcraft and it perfectly illustrates why Robert Eggers finds Witches so utterly terrifying.  It's also designed to fit with the game that would eventually become Lion and Dragon and the Dark Albion setting.

I'm working on adapting it to use in the Witcher RPG by R Talsorian.  Child eating Witches have been a staple of Slavic myth since before Christianization, so such an adversary would be perfect for everyone's favorite viper-eyed monster hunters.

It's hard to say anything about Slavic myth before Christianization, including it's cannibalistic aspects.
And Witcher is not based on Slavic mythology but Celtic, aside of few trinkets here and there - like strigha monster - who is one of few that seems to be well attested in described in Slavic folklore as it's more ancient part.

But as witches in Witcher lore are basically sorceress without plastic surgery, and considering very little human-intelligent monsters, not really, nah.

You can get a copy of any version of the old ravenloft module or curse of strahd, do some changing, and actually kill dracula. You largely need the module only for the map of course, but still, when is killing dracula not fun? I mean except when you get there and it's rocky horror picture show version.
