Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[Popcorn] What the hell they're talking about

Oh, I'll post drunk.  Just not in a serious discussion.

If you happen to be in the same room as him, however, you can usually get him to discuss something seriously, often with amusing results. I suspect he just doesn't want his words recorded for posterity. I suspect this is also why he insists everyone around him gets drunk with him. :heh:

Quote from: ColonelHardissonI know it's led to new blood, and that's a good thing, but if the site is supposed to be a new iteration of Nutkinland, some continuity is also good. There is some continuity, I won't try to say otherwise, but perhaps it's not enough for my taste. That doesn't mean this site isn't good; it's worthwhile to note, I think, that I find myself checking this site out more often than any other right now.

Continuity?  What the hell are you smoking.  The only continuity that NKL ever really had was the ability to truely rip into someone for saying something monumentally stupid, that and the nuttiness.  It has evolved somewhat in that we ask you to actually have a reason before you rip into someone.

Those that do evolve are replaced. A better word would have been 'adapt'.

Nah.  Not everyone.  Just the women.

And that has more to do with posteriors than posterity.

Ok, you win.

But since you're planning on evolving, I'll take it up with Hreidmar 2.0 at a later date.

No continuity? Really? There seemed to be an awful lot of people upset that NKL and then NTL went away. If there was no continuity, no sense of community, I doubt there would have been as much wailing and gnashing of teeth, and the desire for a new NKL.

4e definitely has an Old School feel. If you disagree, cool. I won\'t throw any hyperbole out to prove the point.

You don't get promoted to colonel around here without gaining wisdom along the way.

Actually, I'm not very wise at all. I'm just threadcrapping, I just realized, and I want to apologize for that to Hreidmar and everyone else interested in the original thread topic.

EDIT: Well, crap, if I had seen my new custom title before this, maybe I wouldn't have apologized. Didn't realize I was "whining."

The nutkins remind me of the fairy in the Dodge TV ad wielding a polymorph wand with great glee.

It's rather funny actually as long as it isn't happening to you...

dang.

Getting back (sort of) to the original thread, they're up to post 26. About 5 posts a day... with a 100 post limit, that means this should end around May 6th.

Good grief that's a long time.

I think it's rather cool. And likely more effective than banning on many people.

Community does not mean continuity.  NKL was always evolving, yes there where many people that were the same throughout the years but even the regulars sometimes changed their usernames or just left.

PS - I made it so you could change your title again.
