SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Okay, I just skimmed the thread where you got your opinion.  That thread should have been strangled to death at birth, though.  :D

I think the biggest problem here is that RPGPundit is *just as much* of a pretentious games theorist as his opponents.  This is why I don't read any of the threads where the posts stretch longer than one screen.

Gleichman, my apologies for any insult. I really let my frustration (at not being able to understand your position) get the better of me.
I think Cyberzombie would agree that it is uncharacteristic of me.

Heh.  Anyone who can piss off a Swede is really talented.  Hell, even your death metal bands are clean cut and polite.  ;)

It's the danger of pretention.  The whole subject of "RPG theory", from ALL angles, is pretentious twaddle.  Sure, you can take stances and define terms, but they're all meaningless.  That's why the fights get so vicious.  If anybody had a leg to stand on, things would be a lot more rational.  :)

Do you eat babies when I'm not looking?  Or what?  :D

Of course not. If I did I'd likely be better respected in those circles.

No problem. It wasn't as if I didn't give you reason.

I'll drop the other thread I had going with you and call a cease fire on the whole subject.

This is after all, more your place than mine.

So what you're saying is that you're not using those babies over in the corner at the moment, then?
