This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

SHARK

Greetings!

Hmmm...so, I'm wondering, for those who know me, would I make a better SWINE or a better CRAB? Where do you think I would fit in better?

Thanks! I appreciate your insights!

I think you're a good example of why such labels ultimately have no real meaning. You've seen the various arguments over the years about alignment, and how some feel alignment is not valid because it doesn't model very well how people have nuanced shades within their personality. The same basic principle applies here.

4e definitely has an Old School feel. If you disagree, cool. I won\'t throw any hyperbole out to prove the point.

The Colonel has my answer, so I'll just quote him.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

Well, sharks are vertebrate like swines, and aquatic like crabs... I suppose you could proclaim yourself a crine or a swab.

Greetings!

Heh!:) Very interesting Colonel! I don't like arrogant jack-asses bloviating over any particular point of view, elevating such to grail-like importance, especially when beneath the thunder and noise, both "approaches" to me, as well as you and others it would seem, both embrace critical elements necessary for any good game.

So you are saying we need a second axis for Sanity? :ponder: Then you can pigeonhole people into catagories like Insane Swine or Coherent Crab. If so I'd have to peg SHARK at Insane Neutral because a shark surfing the internet is just plain crazy. :p

I'm saying SWINE for no other reason than I like having him on my side.
