This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Id choose Tekumel, simply because

(a) Id want to fuck with my players pre-conceived conceptions about what a fantasy world is about

(b) Id want to fuck with my own pre-conceived conceptions about what a fantasy world is about.

Quote from: David RJorune always loses out to Tekumel :brood:
I remember reading a highly favourable review of Skyrealms of Jorune in Dragon way back when, but the setting didn't grab me. I've never been big on science-fantasy.

Glorantha, on the other hand, got my imagination going when it was just a board game (maybe I'll start a thread about White Bear & Red Moon).

I don't know why I never cottoned on to Tekumel. It seems made for me if you know me, but I think I decided that I'd rather do real Ancient India and the Americas than a fantasy version. Haven't got there yet, mind you, but maybe one day....
