This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I have a big soft spot for giant robots, so anime it is.
Running: Dogs of WAR - Beer & Pretzels & Bullets
Planning to Run: Godbound or Stars Without Number
Playing: Star Wars D20 Rev.

A lack of moderation doesn\'t mean saying every asshole thing that pops into your head.

I love Mechas, but given the fact that Anime Rpg's pretty much suck (with few exceptions), I'll go with Fantasy, D&D is what I've played/run the most.
As for horror I'm a big fan of CoC.

Fantasy and sci-fi are tied for first place in my preferences, followed by modern-day games.  The problem is that sci-fi is so hard to do right, so I voted to reflect that in practice I like fantasy games better.

I'm sure I commented yesterday on the exclusion of historical and historical fantasy from the list...

My favorite is Supers and/or twentieth century style pulp. (I would have checked other, but penis-flowers frighten me) I like swashbuckeling fantasy as well. Really, though, I'll run just about any genre except Vampires.

Historical baby, historical all the way.

1770s Naples, Renaissance Florence, the late Roman republic, give me history or give me a less satisfactory alternative!

Interesting site by the way, are there rules and mods and things here or is this like old-style rpg.net?

I've noticed this site has drawn a goodly amount of historians/historical gamers.  This makes me happy. :)

Man, I'm like a freaking magpie. Okay?  Shiny, shiny, shiny.  One day it's all giant psionic space slugs, then the next week I'm hip-deep in psuedo-historical fantasy action and Hyborian craziness.

Check back in 3 days for game notes based on GTA: Vice City.
