This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've been playtesting a new game for someone that shall remain unmentioned. I've had my own experiences with playtesting, and one thing I've learned is you can't give up on your writing just because someone found a snag, hole, or glitch.

That's what its for. Ignoring obvious taste issues (I've had plenty of feedback like that.) One must remember that this is HELP, and it may need to be thought upon, but it isn't meant as criticism on the writer, just on the needs of the rules to improve in some way.

Hard work is the name of the game. No matter how simple or challenging the rules design may be.

What about you? Do you have any playtesting stories? Any good ideas on improving the process, or getting more gamers involved? This isn't just about writing games, but on the whole shebang of keeping the game together, and improving play for everyone int he long run.
