This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

okay, i'll take the belter--

Eraan Shengeru loved rocks as a kid, but could never get past what he thought were the "boring" parts of geology.  but when a local mining consortium needed workers for the local belt, Erann jumped at the chance to mess around with rocks. . . in space!

that first (and only) term in the belters was a rude awakening.  any time he worked fast so he could slack and enjoy the reflections of mica deposits, some bastard manager would make him work more.  he then would finish his tasks faster to switch projects--flying the cutters & launches was pretty fun, and working "under the panels" was a nice change of pace.  didn't have to worry about rogue meteoroids as much inside small craft, either. . .

but a little too smart (some would say "smart-ass") for his own good left Eraan with a boot out of the airlock once they hit planetside at the end of the term.  looking around the starport, he's sure *someone* will need a boat pilot.  and laser rifles always need maintenance too.
