This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Weee! This Saturday - and the Garage Sale has been posponed, so no guilty feelings!

Bill - you going to be there all day? Does Curt have copies of RI and SA!?

I might spend some money on other than snacks...

PS - I'm scared.  I've never done this kind of experimentation before, Bill.  Will you help guide me through?

I will be there in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I live a chunk of change from Games Plus and would hate to be late to an event in the morning.

Last time I checked he had SA!, Roma and Turris Lemurum.

Don't worry about learning the system. Believe me, once you sit down and play a bit, you will be "Wow! This is just like (indsert your fav game) but different!". It seems to happen a lot. ;)

And besides, I like helping my players have fun. The system should not stand in the way whether it is mine or another system.

Great! This means you'll be early for the afternoon game, right? ;)

Roma just might find a way into my things...before the game even...

Looking forward to it!

The final three pregens are up.

Llew the dragon hunter, Vingo the Red a druid, and Viritrix a barbarian auxiliary in the Legions.

Stop on by and check the adventure out.

Thanks,
Bill

P.S. Yes, I usually get there in time to put out my swag and mingle a bit (I am horrible at mingling).

Over in the Amber/Wujcik Forum I've been listing some of the events I run in the San Francisco Area. Here's the latest:

Quote from: Erick WujcikFrom mid-July to mid-August I'm going to be running a bunch more role-playing sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Very few responses so far, and the window of opportunity is getting smaller.

Anyone interested in playing with me, sometime in the next three weeks, somewhere here in the San Francisco Bay Area, should get in touch pretty soon.

Just send me a message here at the therpgsite.com forum, and be sure to send me your e-mail.

Quote from: Erick Wujcik...already scheduled is a three-part campaign of Quantum Time, to take place on consecutive Saturdays, July 28th, August 4th and August 11th, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the GameScape Game Store in San Rafael.

As of a couple of days ago I had exactly three (3) people sign up the Quantum Time mini-campaign.

Animalball Brasky

Animalball's Animalcast has released Episode 15: Nerds in Movies!  The guys are back to form.  In this episode the guys get involved in a serious and important disussion- the greatest movies to portray nerds in a good light, and the worst movies to portray nerds in a bad light.  You think Anthony Michael Hall might be in some of these movies?  You are probably right, but we refuse to give anything away, so you will just have to listen to the episode to find out.

Animalball's Animalcast is out with Episode 17.

This is the Cazcast!  Mike and Kyle interview Caz Granberg-- better known as Cazmonster on the Animalball forums-- about his experience writing and selling his first major game, Covert Generations.  But first, the guys put Caz on the Animalball Hotseat and task him with five difficult questions.  You'll have to listen to figure out how superaids, poisoned kool-aide and zombie hitler work into it.  And the guys finally answer the question of the most evil gamer in the world.

In a recent deal, Beyond Belief Games has agreed to its line of well-received role-playing games being revised and re-released by Forever People Digital Press, starting with Tales from The Wood (which received the "Happy Dwarf Award" in 2006).

This is an exciting deal for Forever People, who are expanding into the digital market and gives Beyond Belief Games the time to devote to what it does best - that is produce some interesting and wonderful role-playing games.

The deal also looks likely to mean that the excellent Barbarians of Lemuria RPG will finally get a complete makeover and expansion, making it one of the finest sword & sorcery role playing games available. It is possible that the deal will involve a full print release of the game.

That actually sounds pretty cool.  I read BoL recently when The Good Assyrian mentioned it.  I'm not all that big on Thongor but the rules and setup would be good for capturing most sword and sorcery.

Just letting the Minnesota gamers here know that a new store opened up last week.
