SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

i don't see as how that would be a problem.  :D

I think the act of going to a genre convention pretty much means one is unconcerned with one's rep in the first place.

And this is coming from someone who attended the 1988 Superman expo in Cleveland, which was a combination of separate comic book, game, and Star Trek conventions all at the same time and in the same place. That was pretty much a black hole for coolness rep, which has rendered me incapable of ever again acquiring such rep.

4e definitely has an Old School feel. If you disagree, cool. I won\'t throw any hyperbole out to prove the point.

Link?
No, I was referring to myself.

Pooka, anyone who thinks less of you for that really doesn't deserve your consideration.

Anyone want to start a betting pool as to the results of the P&PA's?  Or the ENnies, for that matter?

...and though Nothingland 1.0 has closed it's doors, "Spoonying a thread" lives on :heh:

Gentle reminder...

Quote from: The CharterIn return, show the Nutkins some respect. They're here to keep the forums safe and secure, and to the best of my knowledge none of them are getting paid for their hard work. Please do not feed, harass, or intentionally annoy the squirrels, and if they ask you to do something, do it because they may not ask you twice. You've heard of DM fiat? Well they drive a Fiat too.

I believe Billy was expecting a petty ban.

Nah, we wouldn't ban him, but we do need someone to fill in for the gimp this week, since he's out with the flu. :spank:

Naw, I was commenting that since being nice to "nutkins" here is the written law, that it looked like I was wrong about "Spoonying a thread" being alive and well.

I should get me one of those lists of rules over at Maximvs:)

We don't generally abuse the public (unless they want us to, and that costs extra).

Quote from: Teflon BillyYou have a long, long way to go before you could hope to even hope to come within telescope distance of Skarka.

If it involves running a commercially successful full time business and paying fairly, promptly and well, then I would encourage people to be just like Gareth, since that's how he runs things.

Many people who are nice to you on online fora do so because by business standards, they're incompetent shitheels and would rather that you didn't point it out.

As for awards, they're all worthless except for the Diana Jones Award and except for the Ennies when applied to .pdf. alone. The Diana Jones Award always points out something or someone cool and Ennies can boost .pdf sales. The rest of the Ennies, the OAs and other also-rans are pointless for any number of reasons. Nevertheless, pen-paper.net's database is an invaluable tool for a lot of people and the site has been quietly useful for years, so I suppose that's something. Actually, it deserves an award.
