This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So I'm getting into Star Wars Saga, in part to get my kid into roleplaying.  One problem I anticipate having is forgetting that I'm running for a six year old and hitting him with adventures WAY beyond him...so I was considering making a character alongside his and looking into the Mythic GM Emulator to "run the game" for us.

Anyone have any experience with Mythic?  With Mythic and Star Wars Saga?  Good idea?  Setting myself up for a giant headache?

I ran a one-off D6 Star Wars game using the Mythic GM Emulator. It does really work and the players loved it. However from the GM's point for view it felt a little empty.  Ultimately I guess the thing is I like GMing and all comes with it and I am somewhat resentful that a couple of stupid charts can do my job just as easily and successfully.
New! Cyberblues City - like cyberpunk, only more mellow. Free, fully illustrated roleplaying game based on the Fudge system
Bounty Hunters of the Atomic Wastelands, a post-apocalyptic western game based on Fate. It\'s simple, it\'s free and it\'s in colour!

I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of that for now if I can have an otherwise good play experience with my son, I think.
