This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

At work, I used to be in communication with the principal of another company whose services we endorsed.  He went by the name Billings Chapman, Esq.

I've always thought that would be a great name for a spy/espionage-type villain.
For fuck\'s sake, these are games, people.

And no one gives a fuck about your ignore list.

Jonathan Steele, a journalist working for The Guardian.

Interestingly enough, also an Italian comic-book character.
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

Cyclonophile just mentioned author... "Alastair Reynolds"

I might know a guy named "Rex Newbank"

I do know a girl that gave her son "Danger" as a middle name.  His last name is "Hammer."  You can't make that stuff up.

Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!
