This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Other non-D&D "OSR" retro-games

Is there an "Old School Revival" for old gaming lines that aren't D&D?

For games like Rifts, Cyberpunk 2020, Top Secret and other semi-abandoned or stagnant games that history has left behind?

Gabriel2

FASERIP which is a remake of the old TSR Marvel Super Heroes game.

I'm sure others here can name more.  I think there's a Star Frontiers revival game.

DeadUematsu

Champions 3e- has a kickstarter at the moment. Top Secret had a kickstarter last year. Cyberpunk 2020 is being repositioned as a video game. Rifts is still in print... there are others (Dragon Warriors, Runequest, etc.)

I believe The Fantasy Trip would fit into this category. It's basically 'pre-modern' GURPS.

Edit: To be clear, there aren't any 'new' versions of TFT to my knowledge (so maybe this invalidates it as 'OSR'; I'm not 100% familiar with the OSR movement or its definition/boundaries); though Steve Jackson Games recently re-acquired the rights to it, so we may see a new version at some point.

Mordred Pendragon

There's that retro-clone of the 1E Warhammer Fantasy RPG, and I've heard someone is trying to do a retro-clone of Boot Hill, though I am unsure of that.
Sic Semper Tyrannis

There are retro-clones of RuneQuest/Basic Roleplaying. I'm also pretty sure I've heard about a TFT retro-clone. Traveller has Cepheus Engine, though that isn't exactly a retro-clone. On the other hand, Classic Traveller, while maybe had a period of time of being out of publication has been in publication for quite some time, with PoD of The Traveller Book available and reprints before that. RQ recently went through a reprint.

There are several "clones" of TFT. "Legends of the Ancient World" from Dark City Games and "Heroes and Other Worlds" by C.R. Brandon are the two bigger ones, but I believe there are a couple others.

(No links because I'm on my phone and it's a pain to do links, use Google)

G-Core is another FASERIP clone, and the Star Frontiers one is called Frontier Space I think.

In addition to the retroclones noted above, Steve Jackson FINALY recovered the rights to this property and is a couple months away from releasing newly produced versions. It will be amazing and everyone here should throw fistfulls of cash at him when it arrives.

Caesar Slaad

Berin Kinsman had a 007 clone called Double Zero.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

Oh wow! I had no idea. Thanks for the information and corrections, I've got to take a look at those.

Also one by Expeditious Retreat Press. Classified, I think it's called.

Dark City Games has put out a number of really nice solo adventures, complete with map and counters. Physical only, but reasonably priced.

If you are going to throw money at anyone, throw it at them and not SJG

Mike the Mage

Dragon Warriors has been reprinted and expanded.

I still love that game to bits.

Do a thread on Dragon Warriors!
