This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Since LotFP is in large part based on older versions of D&D, why not use stats from one of those games?
Jesus Fucking Christ, is this guy honestly that goddamned stupid? He can\'t understand the plot of a Star Wars film? We\'re not talking about "Rashomon" here, for fuck\'s sake. The plot is as linear as they come. If anything, the film tries too hard to fill in all the gaps. This guy must be a flaming retard.  --Mike Wong on Red Letter Moron\'s review of The Phantom Menace

Quote from: RPGPundit;476636Hmm... I was hoping this thread would get some kind of official response.  I'd be really curious to know why Raggi felt he had to include the prices for 17 different kinds of boats, but couldn't list the price for even "small house/big house" in his book?

Choosing a ship is something adventure related, so having lots of options seemed like a good idea. Buying a house seems like something for when the characters aren't adventuring, so more detail didn't seem like a good idea.

It seems to me that purchasing property, for a home base at low levels, or a castle or whatnot at high levels, is a pretty important part of the D&D trope.

Ok, so here's the list I made up, extrapolating from some of the material in this thread; I'd like to know whether it seems to jibe with those who know the price lists given in LotFP (its useless if you're just guessing or comparing to other D&D price lists!).  Note that for my Dark Albion campaign, a silver piece is a shilling, and a gold piece is a Pound. Also, "rural" here includes smaller towns, while "city" refers to only the great cities of Albion.
