How much of an impedance mismatch is it to run Lords of Olympus with one GM and just one player?
I've never played any form of Amber, so I haven't a clue. And I figured that here was just the place to ask.
Thanks.
I ran Amber one-on-one from '92-'93-ish. The game had a kind of "war among sorcerers" angle to it, with the story being a kind of background-y thing, instead of close-in on a Throne War or among the dealings of Amberites. It was nifty due to being sort of "quest based" via the intentions of varied patrons. The character had to learn about the political tensions and perform for the "court" in a way that avoided his untimely death. Plus, betrayals and stratagems played large as puzzle-pieces. The end came with an exiling event, along with a debuff that made the character unable to enter Amber-proper. The player wrote a denouement that had his character established as a kind of librarian in Rebma. Fun times.
