So, didya vote (http://www.ennieawards.com/voting.html) yet? I know we had some RPGSite members who had products nominated, including Two-Fisted Tales (Best Writing), Disposable Heroes (Best Minis Product), Epic RPG (Best Rules), Animalball's podcast (Best Fan Product), Roma Imperious True20, (Best Setting), Alpha Omega (Best Interior Art and Best Production Values) and likely a couple others I'm forgetting--Kenzer's Mark Plemmons is a member here, and Aces & Eights got a ton of nominations.
Nominees, I'm curious--how much promotion did you do? Press Releases? Sales? Pimping your nominated product on message boards? Or did you just sort of let things take their course? (I posted the same question here (http://rpgblog2.blogspot.com/2008/08/ennies-hurry-up-and-votea-question-for.html) and here (http://zacharythefirst.livejournal.com/2830.html), and am interested in seeing the results)
Everyone else, do you have a dark horse or horses you'd like to see win?
I didn't vote. Out of every product in every category, I only recognized like two of them by name, and I'm more than passingly familiar w/ only one of them(Monsters & Other Childish Things). It's like this whole contest centered around dozens of products I either never heard of, or didn't care about enough to remember. Most likely the latter, as I do subscribe to RPGnet's Open forum feed and read all of the thread titles at the very least, and have been doing so for months.

Sales (My Roma True20 19.99 sale goes to Aug 15) and press releases on here, EnWorld, YGN Newsletter, RPGNet and our own site. So, some. More a case of jumping into threads about nominees whenever I saw them.

Ok, I guess I have voted. And I didn't recognize 2 of the products. It was more like 4. But hey, at least I know a few of the fan-vote publishers well enough to vote for them. So yay! I did my patriotic gamer duty.

I, too, am I member here, with Trail of Cthulhu nominated for two Ennies (Best Writing, Best Rules) and an honourable mention, and The Book of Unremitting Horror, which got a Best Monster nomination. We also got a Publsiher nomination, though that's just a proposer and a seconder rather than a panel of judges.
I posted on my lj, added PDF samples of the nominated books to the Pelgrane website, and a emailed a few customers. It was irritating to have to ask everyone a second time.
I don't hold out much hope, comparing the size of our user base with those of our esteemed competitors, but I'm very pleased to have been nominated.
Incidentally, you don't have to vote in every category.

A very good point! Folks can just vote for one or two categories, if that's all they're interested in.
And sorry--I forgot you were also a member here! You did pretty well for nominations this year, to boot! :)
I'm hoping Precis Intermedia gets high up on the publisher rankings. I've been mighty impressed with their games. I wish more of them were nominated.
I'm pretty sure Star Wars Saga is the has a shoe-in for game of the year.
Voted!

Not a very prolific poster, though, so understandable.
I'm very pleased with the number of nominations.

Same here. Precis' customer base is made up of mostly casual gamers who just like to play and not get involved with online stuff too much.
And KrakaJak is my new best friend :p

Same here and agree with Brett as well. I was just tickled to be nominated.

Hey, I did my best on that damned voting page! (actually, I voted for Changeling first....but TFT was certainly #2)

Hey! Does that mean I get free games now? :D

Normally, I might just say yes, but it in this case, it could look like a bribe :teehee:

Yeah, the nominations were nice. I did have my fingers crossed for that Production Design award, but oh well... :)
