This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Odd ad hoc character sheets

The thread about role-playing purchases got me thinking: What is the weirdest object you had your character sheet on, because no proper one was around? Bonus points if it was in use for more than one session.

Pieces of pizza boxes are pretty obvious (and can lead to some "hilarious" PC names). I once used an old leather pencil case (your basic leather cylinder) for some NPC statistics. Obviously not in a GURPS game ;)

Once, exasperated by the inattention as the GM took care of business with other charcters, I reprduced my character portrait, stats, and pictures of weapons on an Etch-A-Sketch.
Employment Counselor: So what do you like to do outside of work?
Oblivious Gamer: I like to play games: wargames, role-playing games.
EC: My cousin killed himself because of role-playing games.
OG: Jesus, what was he playing? Rifts?

i've used beer bottle labels (peeled off the bottle) for npc stats, but that isn't in the same league as etch-a-sketch.

not sure what could possibly top that! :what:

Pseudoephedrine

Hand and wrist when I was playing around age 11 so that we could play at recess. We didn't have paper to spare, and there was nowhere to set anything up (plus, wind). So we had four kids with writing all over their hands standing in a corner of the schoolyard and one of those "red, blue, green, pick a corner" folded paper things for dice. I went to a private school, so we'd roll our sleeves down and wash our hands to hide them during class.
