Why does she hold the butt of her spear behind her, where it'll be awkward to use regardless of where she's attacked from, and in a way that'd actually be uncomfortable for her arm?

It's like the chainmail bikini chicks. She look h4wt, she doesn't look like a professional warrior. Like most such art, it is technically very able.

My thought was she is not standing ready for attack but at a "parade" rest if you will. This is a piece for the Foes section of the book and thus meant to be an illustration not an action piece.

Sorry if you can't enjoy it. I think it captures the nature of the game quite nicely. Erik pointed out it was more "fantasy" than "history".

Maybe someday some one will do true20 Caddilacs and Dinosaurs:)

I just don't know. ;) I am considering doing a conversion for Nebuleon (HinterWelt's Sci-Fi setting) and considering for Future Skein (a title I have in the works). Future Skein is post-apoc but where the robots win...erm, no magic but the art has been said to have a "Thundarr" feel.

The one I am wondering if I could pull off would be a Squirrel Attack! True20...now that would be all kinds of wrong. :D

The Amazons primarily inhabit two areas, around the Black Sea and Central Africa. This particular Amazon would be the Black Sea variety.

I noticed that as well. I also think her feet are a bit fuzzy but, strangely enough, she looks better in higher resolution. The hands were difficult since I asked for the parade rest kind of pose making Erik have to bend her hand around...know what I mean?
