This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

As before - the details are here (at d20 haven).

Short version: Not a lot of hope with the exception of a few of the under-twenty-five folks. People very interested in whatever possibility will let them continue in a living campaign with 3.5 rules (or similar enough) to play their characters.

Before anyone goes bat-shit - it's all anecdotal; it's a relatively self selected population; it's meant merely as observation, not some attempt to extrapolate some larger industry trend (all of which is included in a disclaimer in the source post at d20 haven).  It might mean nothing to you; I simply found it interesting.

As far as 3.75 goes, I heard something eerily close to this last month, from someone I trust pretty well.  Probably just wishful thinking on someone's part, but...

I don't know zach - this comes from some folks with...well...let's just say a bit of access. I know you now have some clout Mr I'm a Review for the Ennies ;) - but this is from folks who would....let's just say I was surprised at this rumor from sources with this much access. And the name was shocking too.

Hmmm...well, hey, I guess you never know.  It IS interesting, however, that we both would've heard a largish name tied to it... :raise:

So who's the "largish name" connected with the project?

Tease.

Nevermind. I've done some homework of my own in the last few minutes.

After extensive comparisons of varying market trends, cross-referenced with core demographic data and the latest tri-monthly projections I can only conclude that it's Mark Rein*Hagen. :pundit:

I don't get called that very often!

I will say that it seems as though the name is the same, or at least very very close, to the one heard by another poster.

The plot thickens!

It's Conte Mook, isn't it?

Good old Conte. I knew he'd save the day...
