This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[NO POLITICS] What are you most excited to play next?

Cyber Sprawl Classics IF I can find a GM willing to run a play by text funnel at least.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

At the Dented Mug there will be a Session Zero where interested Players and GM will gather to discuss what game will be run and what setting for that game.

Possibilities include d6 Star Wars, Traveller, Mekton, Cyberpunk 2020, Cepheus Engine, Basic Fantasy, and Advanced Labyrinth Lord.

One drink minimum to attend.
"Meh."

During Coronapanic my RPGing has been on Roll20, which is far from ideal but it is what it is. I ran T&T for a few sessions, one of the other group has run 5e for the last few weeks, but with that adventure coming to an end GM duties will revert to me and I'm hoping to run Blood & Bronze if I can get everyone on board. If not it'll probably be Cthulhu, which I love, but have played so much of it "excited" wouldn't be the right term for playing it again.

I went from zero to sixty on that game myself.  Very odd, but I'm looking forward to trying it.

But our group is onboarding a couple of new players so we are likely to stick with D&D for quite some time...

I was going to post Traveller, but darn it, I think you may have looped onto Soulbound.

S'mon

Quote from: S'mon;1133220I'm already running and playing a ton of games, but two more I'm excited to run are:

1. The Lucanii Drift 'Star Trek' type sandbox campaign, probably using Mini Six/Open D6.
2. 5e D&D Odyssey of the Dragonlords, Greek Myth setting - planning to run that probably once my 'Princes of the Apocalypse' campaign ends in 12-18 months.

Right now I'm most excited to get back to running my high level 5e Primeval Thule game, currently on a massive cliffhanger as the PCs and their frost giant allies prepare to ambush a Pale Hand expedition. The Pale Hand are seriously bad news.

You just going to tease us with that and only that? :P

Also where's our stat block for Big Chungus?!?! :D

LiferGamer

Maybe Dragon Empire using Star Adventurer, but if I could get player buy-in? DCC
Your Forgotten Realms was my first The Last Jedi.

If the party is gonna die, they want to be riding and blasting/hacking away at a separate one of Tiamat's heads as she plummets towards earth with broken wings while Solars and Planars sing.

Spinachcat

Quote from: Scrivener of Doom;1133413Hopefully I will soon be able to run some Dark Sun in D&D 4E.

It's good stuff and surprisingly well written.
If I run it, I might port over the 4e system from Gamma World because its faster and more brutal.

Quote from: Shawn Driscoll;1133374Chthonian Stars

Enjoy! I've played the original via Traveller and it was quite fun. I really like how they kept the campaign within our solar system. SciFi in our system is underappreciated. As a GM, having access to NASA pics was really helpful for increasing immersion. You were going to a real place that looks exactly like that.

Quote from: insubordinate polyhedral;1133189Gonna do any online playtests? Asking for a friend. :D

I don't enjoy virtual games (or stuff like Zoom or WebEx for work) so I'm the wrong GM for that.
But when the game passes muster through my internal playtests, I definitely want outside GMs to take it for a spin.

Quote from: Aglondir;1133543What's your system like?

D&D 0e + 5e bits + Gamma World 1e + Classic Traveller + Random Ideas over 4 decades.
Still nailing down how much is going to be Contested Rolls in Combat.
Still nailing down Skills vs. Backgrounds (I really like how 13th Age uses Backgrounds)
I'm very much "rules light", but not 1-page rules or MicroLite level (which can be great fun too).

Yeah. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's done with this system.

I'd be excited to have Lion & Dragon/Dark Albion redone for D6 Fantasy. You know you want to pundit.
