How about just something cool to read about?

StormBringer: They called chemistry useless... they just did... yeah it's mostly useless for generating wormholes, but WTF, I mean only way to achieve complete control over earth's ecosystem, curing illnesses and maybe even immortality is trought biochemistry, biology, genetics, mathematics and informatics and related subjects... not trought particle physics and these are more important than having working FTL engine, especialy, when without knowledge how to terraform some other planets...

I just guess that creating FTL engine, gravity modification and such isn't all that important now... with exception of new power sources, these are allway important...

They said chemistry is useless for getting to the stars. Context is important; it's an awkward quote, since it's pretty specifically about propulsion.

Chemistry and material science will still be vital for building whatever we build.

I really really really hope that faster-than-light travel, and time travel, is impossible.
