In another thread (http://www.nutkinland.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18463&postcount=61) I mentioned the cosmology of my homebrew campaign world. If figured it was about time I fleshed out the campaign world a bit more and wrote some stuff down. As at the moment it's mainly ideas floating a round in my head. So I've done a nice cross-section of the campaign world showing the various planes, and how they relate to each other. It also illustrates the very large crack (although not to scale) that goes right down to The Abyss.
I'ld like a name for it, the world that is, I've never been good at naming things. The Planes probably need renaming but I've stuck to the D&D conventions for now.
Oh feel free to pick holes in it as well.
Bovis Oculus?
? Bruck: the Fractured World.
The Core
The Shell
Caidar/Klishen (those came from about a dozen phonetic drifts of the word "cataclysm", pick one)
The Middle Realms
The Balance
As a bonus, here's a campaign name: "Ogres are like onions."
I'm liking the "the Fractured World" tagline from Nicephorus. I also like Sobek's idea of the idea of the name having some link with cataclysm, but I'm not sure about the two examples.
"Target"

See that's exactly my problem with naming things.
That bridge across the fracture in reality is as striking a feature of your setting as the abyssal fracture itself, so I thought about naming the campaign for the bridge. Lots of 'The Bridge Across...' type names came and went. In the end, the best I could come up with was: 'The Bridge of Many Hells'. Not great I'll have to admit, but it does have a certain evocative simplicity. ;)
You can try dropping descriptive words into babelfish and doing a few translations to get some new sounds.
For example, bruch is apparently German for fracture.
The Orphic Chasm.

Roger

Isn't that what I said?

Maybe in your crazy moon language. [/Tick]
In the end I've gone for Bayren: the Shattered world. Bayren is a play on barren.
The cataclysm that put the big crack in the planet is refered to as the Shattering.
While not a direct copy of anything anyone said, I'ld like to thank everyone for giving me ideas to work with and kicking my brain into gear.
The Multi-Layered Lollipop Multiverse... ?
