This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Yeah, Mutant Future looks really cool, and I'm excited by the possibilities that compatibility with LL offers, too.
The problem is not that power corrupts, but that the corruptible are irresistibly drawn to the pursuit of power. Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.

Quote from: Dr Rotwang!Well, I already have an opening scene mapped out, for an adventure: The PCs, in a school bus, gunning down a dusty desert highway, fleeing a trio of giant, mutant bees...who think the bus is their queen.
Man, that is such a rip off of Resident Evil: Extinction.  Well, if you change the bees into crows, anyway.

But, it is a direct rip off of Sixteen Candles.

Would you expect anything less of someone so devoted to the 80s? Just wait until he whips out his Amber driven Square Pegs campaign.

Oh, and I'm optimistic about mutant future. I've had enough of retroclone and want to move on to neo-old school - replicating the fun parts of the old games without redoing all the craptacular parts, taking those sensibilities to new domains instead of mere conversion.

Someone posted a while back on ENworld about using MF and LL for games styled off of some of the sequences from Heavy Metal.

Yeah, I rather liked Gamma World back in the day, but it was seriously some kind of thrown together system that was striving to be compatible with AD&D.  Also, monster titles in plural?  Not as bad as the later 3.x books and 4e referring to the reader in the first person, but still.  Weird.
