Greetings fellow Gamers,

This is a Facebook post I did within the last two weeks:

I used to Reff or GM roleplaying games all the time years ago. At one point I got sick of elves and dwarves in almost every game world - so I wanted to do a game setting that had intelligent cat creatures walking around on two legs wearing clothes and all the usual stuff. It would be them, Humans, and Centaurs - and that's it for the 'races' of that world.

I forgot to add this:

- But also Orcs and Goblins as adversary races.

Hi Bro, I don't understand clearly what you mean. If you want to go old-school and this is about different races you could go all the way back to AD&Ds book "The Complete Book of Humanoids" which gives options for playing different races.

If you want something more modern then D&D 5e already had many playable races through different books. "Intelligent cat creatures walking around on two legs wearing clothes and all the usual stuff" would be the Tabaxi, and you can home-brew to remove elves and dwarves if that´s your taste.

"Orcs and Goblins as adversary races" so you want to avoid the woke crowd and their madness of those races being related to real world races? Fuck those guys, its your world, you are in command. if your Orcs and Goblins are evil by nature so be it. Get together with like-minded people and let your fantasy run, don't worry about the woke crowd that only wants to be victimized on behalf of other people...

Maybe I missed your point, please do tell us more.

Yes, if you're playing 5e, Mythic Odysseys of Theros is the WotC product with an official Centaur race, and both Arkadia and Odyssey of the Dragonlords have their own versions. If Tabaxi aren't quite what you're looking for, Kobold Press' Southlands has a couple of other different sorts of catfolk.

Basic Fantasy has a supplement for that, it's either the New Races one or the Monsters as Players Characters one.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

Guys,

Look at the thing in tiny print near my avatar or profile picture - IF I ever run that sort of setting it is going to be with the GURPS books and rules.

Sounds like a job for GURPS!  :D

What if there are no horses and nobody rides horses so centaurs are the cavalry and draft option available.

Anyhow, I wonder what orc centaurs would look like?  Pigs and wolves are obvious options of course but what about mountain goats, bison, or llamas.  Desert orc centaurs might be camelloid.

I had a great book on GURPS races - GURPS fantasy Folk! I'm quite sure it has centaurs and minotaur, but not sure bout catfolk...

I run a campaign with GURPS and catfolk myself, but alas, I don't remember the exact rules I used. Probably DX, ST, some striking ST, claws, and maybe some climb/swim. I had lionfolk (leaders), tigerfolk (strength), and catfolk (thievery and magic), with a couple of gods for each, all in the same panteon.

I even had a professional artist in my group! (Rick Troula) He made this:
