This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

In general I'm hugely in favor of products reverting to thier creators, and I'm glad in this case that things never finalized so Wujcik gets it back.
"Dr.Who and CoC are, on the level of what the characters in it do, unbelievably freaking similar. The main difference is that in Dr. Who, Nyarlathotep is on your side, in the form of the Doctor."

Quote from: pandiculatorawh. No new BESM edition :(

According to the statement Mark released he's looking for a new home for it---whether that comes to pass may be an issue.

Personally, I'd given up on BESM a while back, it was one of my favorite games for a while until SAS/Tri-Stat/D20 all infringed on BESM's development and the new direction 3E seemed to be going held little interest. I hope for those who ARE fans still they get the game (and hope its what "they" want.)

I know the preview material that had come out definatly sealed the coffin's lid for me.

I have created a forum for GOO Fans to go to so that they can discuss GOO's Games.

Goo's passing is a sad one.

Since Guardians of Order never had the actual rights, merely a promise of the first chance at negotiating for them, the game publishing rights never LEFT Erick Wujick's hands at all.

I do certainly agree that the demise of GoO a bad scene, but much more because of it's impact on the smaller companies than and the loss of the various Tri-Stat lines than anything to do with Amber.
